I think Fury is the man who took all of the fight out of Wilder. Yes, I give him credit.

No...Two wins over a bum like Wilder means nothing anymore lol...The only notable win he has now is a washed up 40 year old Klitschko lol...Fury's legacy is zilch now!

Wilder is nothing special in all time terms but he was much better than this in his prime. His falling off is Roy-esque.

I always ask is there anybody on Wilders ko record that anybody in the current top 10 couldn't ko? There's probably quite a few outside the current top 10 aswell that would demolish most of the opponents Wilder ko'd. Then look at his boxing ability, it's not great. He was a protected champion with a very padded record and as others have said when he's faced opponents with genuine ability he's been outclassed. That pretty much answers the op question.

that's right.. and the worst thing is that usyk's fans act as if it was a great victory.. when their fighter was taken to school in several rounds by that overrated fat man.. that's why fury is so bad and his resume sucks that like this We are so bad that Usyk's greatest victory is beating that fat man
overrated in a fight that I was losing... how ashamed it makes me

Wilders a shell now in fairness. Was never a great boxer to begin with but his old training team had the right idea with him. Keep distance with the jab/footwork and bang the right hand out when the oppurtunity presented itself. With the power that was enough to make wilder dangerous for anyone. For me he,d have beat joshua if they fought around the andy ruiz 1 fight.

Not even sure malik scotts getting him in the minimum shape required for a boxing match at that level...just confusing him with nonsense.

Acting as if Wilder pre-Fury had the resume or legacy of Ali or Holmes lol

Wilder was known as a can crusher before the Fury fights. I litterally predicted that Fury fans will now be turning into the greatest defenders of Deontay Wilder.

Wilder was the #2 heavyweight in the world according to Ring and TBRB when Fury drew with him in the first fight, in what most consider to be a deserved win.

Wilder was the #1 heavyweight in the world according to TBRB and #2 according to Ring (behind Fury) when Fury beat him in their second fight.

Wilder was the #3 heavyweight in the world according to TBRB and #4 according to Ring when Fury beat him in their third fight.

So yes, I give Fury plenty of credit for these fights against a very highly ranked opponent.

Wilder has always been garbage. Fury thumping on his chest to beat this guy over and over was ridiculous, but many went with the idea because they didn't know any better. Since there were nobody else from the US in the HW division at the time, this idea that Wilder was some formidable and quality champion was ingrained into the minds of casuals and when Fury beat him repeatedly, he milked it like no tomorrow. Ultimately, it's great for boxing that Wilder was exposed by both Parker and Zhang.

Some fights take a lot out of both fighters and Fury and Wilder had a trilogy. One that comes to mind is Matthyse vs Danny Garcia. Both guys were looking great, Matthyse more. And after the fight both went down hill. They stuck around like Fury did but can’t remember them having a good win after.

As much as I hate both fighters (and I do, a lot) I do give credit to Fury for ending the hype train.

In hindsight though it really isn't a great win, is it?

If you watch the first Stivern fight you can see what could of been if he was trainable that is the only fight he listened to his corner and stuck to a plan I think that was only because a title was on the line he then fell in love with his power and never progressed.
He is clearly a good fighter with what he has just was never smart enough to take it to the next level for me he was never world level and carful match making fooled casual fans into thinking he was the next big thing
