No, based on his accomplishments in the ring, not without a ticket. But my guess is he'll be voted in anyway.

For what? Some bum fighters can put up exciting fights, their just not on HBO. If you let in Gatti to HOF you will be letting in alot of other underserving fighters there.

No! I love Gatti, loved watching him, give him unconditional respect for his heart......but no. The integrity of the Hall of Fame will be tarnished if he is voted in. Who next, Augustus?

No, but I think a "contributions to slugfestology" award should be awarded by the HoF to warriors like Gatti.

I don't think that he should go there but he probably will get in and he will not be the first undeserving fighter to go.

Yes, he should and probably will. 4 time fight of the year winner. One the most exciting fighters that ever lived. That needs to be rewarded.

    heeeeeeeeeeeeell Nooooooooooooo!!!!!

Gatti Has done nothing to deserve a spot in the hall of fame. Yes he was exciting but thats where it ends. He lost to every A level fighter he fought(Mayweather and DLH) and struggled mightily with solid B fighters(Branco, Rodriguez and Ivan Robinson). Best wins against Tracy Patterson, Micky Ward, Gabe Ruelas, Leonard Dorin. Was never considered one of the best of his era nor the best in his weight class at any point in his career. While titlist at 130, Genero Hernandez was the man and they never fought. Very excitiing fighter but with so many fighters that accomplished more, he doesnt deserve to get in. Bobby Chacon, Matthew Saad Muhammad, and Carmen Basilio brought the same drama and excitement Gatti did but did so on a world class level and were true world champions and considered the best some point.

Maybe he should receive the "Special Recognition" award as George "Scrap Iron" Johnson did.

But to be a Hall of Fame inductee, no. Not by Hall of Fame criteria.

If they ever give out a "Most Exciting Fighter" award for the recent era or something, he could be a candidate for that.

So lets keep making the same mistake and put another undeserving fighter in.:patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch
We cant reverse who is already in the IBHOF but we can stop more undeserved fighters in. Sure Gatti was exciting but Truely great fighters like Niccolino Locche get over looked for years and finally get inducted decades after retirement because they werent well-known or exciting. Right is Right and putting Gatti in the hall puts another black eye on boxing. Who that is already in the hall that Gatti deserves to be in more than???? I cant think of too many.

NOOOOOOOOOO. Gatti went to war....with bums. Every time he has stepped up it wasnt even close. He has been pummeled every time. If he gets in then hey I protest to get Zab in

Hell at least the underachiever Zab has been an undisputed champion and a titlist in another weight. He is erratic, talented but accomplished more than Gatti as well.

No. Gatti was extremely entertaining and all, but no.

It would suck if Gatti gets in before guys like Brian Mitchell, Donald Curry, and Marlon Starling.
