geale wins a rematch. big ppv, big venue, big payday for geale. he has the belts so should have the lions share of the takings.

mundine gets beat, his USA drama is over.

win, win for boxing in oz?

    imo no.

Dont give the grub the shot, he has done nothing to deserve it. Let him fade into obscruity as he didnt give Geale the chance of a rematch when it was rellevent.

what would this fight generate in $$? anyone have an idea?

and what other options has geale got to fight a washed up fighter and make that sort of $$?

what sort of $$ is he now commanding to fight overseas?

I would rematch him, I will never get near the ammount of $ I can fighting Choc, (My unification sold 630 PPV australia wide, i am an unknown joke in my homeland).
    HOWEVER
I can't beat choc, at any stage of our respective careers.

I won't even fight Soliman, can't beat him either.
I will drop both my bets- wont be fighting GGG or Soliman, I may fight the winner of upcoming WBO match up, as that is by far the weakest opponents out there.

The only terms he should give Mundine a look-in on are if Mundine shows him the money and lots of it. Geale should demand at least 50% or tell him to go jump.

    :deal Yep.

The only thing Mandy is useful for now is a tune up fight for Geale in between bigger fights.
    All on Geales terms, naturally.

not an ussie myself but recently began following the scene over there. If I was him, I would go for it. Avenge a loss, make some cash, and retire Mundine.

I think you're right, Revenge must be high on Geales list.... That loss to Choc wouldnt sit well with him I'm sure.

I doubt it would bother him at all, he knows who really won, and so do his fans.

It was the toughest fight he has been in and depending who you are alters how you see the outcome, Ive watched it many many times and I give it to Choc, JUST.

There isn't a boxer in the world that wouldn't be bothered by the only Loss on their record... It would be on Geales mind.

I know he didn't on the record books, but what I'm getting at is I doubt it would bother him as he felt he won anyhow.
As you said, it was a close fight which could have gone either way.

I truly doubt he'd losing any sleep over it.
I don't agree, I had Geale ahead by 3 rounds. The ref on the night was garbage, which skewed the outcome to some degree.

I also don't think it was his toughest fight. Sturm was harder and closer.
I don't agree, now. I did once though.

I mean really, what satisfaction would Geale get by beating Mandy now? After Garth flogged him?

This is a pointless fight, for both fighters.

i think its fairly obvious that geale would get over that. he would ask for 75 at least imo.

    why not?

but the grub still doesn't deserve a shot anyway.

I think Geale struggled more against Sylvester than he Did Sturm, Geale was always in control yesterday, the only reason it was so close was because he seemed to clock off for a while, He is improving out of site..

I remember sitting down with Ash one day with a few ales & watched mandy V Geale......we both had to agree to disagree who won but both at least agreed it was close......honestly although I don't think he deserves a shot if the $$$$ add up I think it would be good for Geale to set the record straight with a comprehensive victory over mandy........be a safer fight than Golovkin thats for sure.
