It was a blatant foul. He wasn't even warned. Unfortunately your poll will have skewed results because of all the Triple G worshippers on this site...Lemieux is tough...shook Triple G up with some of those shots..
If Lem flopped he probably would have, Definitely should have been a point and recovery time though as it was blatant.
I thought that while Golovkin was mostly in first gear and toying with Lemieux, that he showed plenty of holes that someone like Ward would have little trouble exploiting. I've thought that all along anyway, but I'm more convinced of it - which means I'm more convinced we never ever see Ward-Golovkin. :smoke
At this coming from a hardcore B-Hop and Ward groupie. :rofl And both B-Hop and Ward would've been rolling around on the canvas in fits of histrionics had they been hit by that blow by the way. They would've been bawling their eyes out like big babies. Live by the sword, cry by the sword is their motto. :yep
Oh? Pac-JMM 1? I was thinking of when MAB hit Marquez after a knockdown that wasn't ruled a knockdown, and then MAB got penalized when he clipped Marquez with a short hook. I thought that was what you were referring to. Did Pac do the same to JMM in their first fight? I haven't seen that one in awhile.
Fighting Ward would destroy his mystique. That is the worst possible matchup for Triple G. Roc Nation would have to offer far more money than Golovkin is worth to get him in the ring with Ward. We'll probably get Canelo/Triple G instead at some point.
it's not only interesting but answers your question succinctly, and invalidates the poll and thread. obviously, he should not have been dq'd.
If every fighter got DQ'd for hitting after the bell or hitting someone whilst their down there would be many DQ's and stupid results. No is my answer. But it doesn't surprise me people immediately cried for it so pathetically, they'd do anything to see GGG lose.
