    No
Because Lemieux had ***** enough to not fall to the floor and put on an act like dirrel.
The punch he got hit with was twice as hard as the half hearted slap Abraham hit dirrel with.

It was such a beating that the referee was looking for an excuse to wave it off. He was hoping that Lemieux doesn't beat the count. If the same happened in the first round he would have given 5 mins to recover. But when is the last time you have seen what happened? Someone fighting the biggest P4P puncher in the sport, takes a beating for five rounds, takes a knee after bodyshot, is hit by a clean free power punch AND still beats the count? Lemieux has iron chin.

Like many have stated; The punch was being thrown before Lemieux's knee touched and that was nowhere near as severe compared to RJJ/Griffin and Abraham/Dirrell.

RJJ is a punk for playing the victim during the telecast about his DQ making GGG out to be some protected class of fighter while Roy was crying discrimination. A bunch of you are even bigger punks and *****es for wanting GGG DQ'd. The true depths of scumbaggery and pettyness on here never cease to amaze me.

That punch was more reactionary than anything else. Lemieux was just hit flush with a body shot, and he had a delayed reaction from the shot and took a knee while he was backpedaling away from gennady. While he was moving backwards, Gennady was getting ready to throw a shot. It might've looked a bit suspicious in slow motion, but not in real time.

I could understand a case for a point deduction with David receiving some time to recuperate, but a disqualification would've been way over the top for something that definitely didn't seem intentional.

It wasn't intentional and Lemieux wasn't hurt from it so it's hard to insist he should've been DQ'd. But it's still the responsibility of a boxer to not hit a downed, defenceless opponent, so a point deduction would've been fair.

A point deduction would have been fair and some more time for Lemieux to recuperate. It was in the heat of the moment, but also not fair for his opponent that took a knee to avoid damage and recover from a good body-shot.

I think no, because he'd already put his right in motion as Lemieux took the knee. Shlt happens.

I think the ref did a poor job anyway. It almost look like there was no fault at all, he resume the fight right away also like nothing happened.
