Of course this thread is based on last nights fight, surely it will have Hatton thinking in a different frame of mind now, maybe he could compete at 147, although shown against Collazo it was going to be difficult, maybe he could still grind out the victories but maybe he just doesn't have the power to compete. Witter says he will be a Welterweight next year and I think he could just carry the weight, he certainly has more of a frame to beef up and reach to more than well carry his power or even get stronger since he aint getting any older maybe wiser for Witter to bulk up to 147, an I noticed Quintana got his fight by beating Henry who Witter KO'ed 3 rounds in at WW back in 2000, although Henry is a bum of course. Maybe we could see Hatton vs Witter at 147 if they fight this year, better staying in a division where we could actually see Rees vs Lynes for a world title match and if they left LWW probably Torres would look to move up too.
Yeah he's way too small.....he only fought Collazo to become a two weight champ and only stayed at Welter in order to fight the best....I dont think he'll ever go back up again
I think Hatton wants to beat a credible opponent at WW to make amends, plus he does not want to make weight at LW. all things considered, it wasnt a disgrace to only last 10 rds against Floyd(apart from the beltbuckle). I think the occasion got to him and the ref didnt help!
hatton best suited for 140.. destroys everyone there including shitter.. i think hes justified in letting shitter "squirm" hes the king there, he can do what he wants. if shitter goes up to ww he will be starched by any top ten there hands down.
