not read the thread exept for this page, but to the original question , no hatton should carry on negotiating with team paq until they come to a conclusion and the fight is made.

I would say tell him to go **** himself, sign to fight someone else, and leave Pac out in the cold, making a relatively small fight for crap money, and realising what an idiot he has been.

But this fight is just too damn good to go to waste. He should wait it out.

Kinda like in the Oscar fight eh? Only Oscar was about 20 places below him then, and Pac may have got 30% of the purse? Pac didn't care so much about his 'status' then now did he?

50-50 is hardly an insult is it? Hatton is a cash cow, he is the champion of the division. He will bring in just as much money as Pac will.

Pac is being a greedy *****. Simple as.

the only reason hatton is champion of that division is because cotto isnt in that division anymore:D

Hmmm, interesting, yet completely silly argument.

Cotto was never champion at 140. Hatton is a multiple 140 champion.

Eitehr way, Hatton at 140 is better than Cotto ever was at the weight.

a so-called elite fighter in a division where the top guys are continental-level at best. hatton should be thankful that pac is going to 140 to put some luster on his **** division.

obviously not 2 u, but warren wasnt willing 2 put his cash cow in with such an opponent, besides the fact i remember a certain cotto winning the WBO belt, besides the fact if hatton wanted 2 lay a claim for best light welter why didnt he go for the WBC belt which was around a certian witters waist at the time :nut:nut

Can you provide some evidence for the Cotto fight being discussed?

And when you've beaten the linear champion and recognised number one in your weightclass you don't need to 'lay a claim' to be the best in the division, you already are.
