He's the undisputed #1 in one division and moving into another. Wlad has undoubtedly fought at a higher level for longer, but he also has 3 looses by KO to Haye's one. Also, Haye twice beat his closest rival at his best weight by KO, Enzo Maccarinelli being a devastating one side blow out. This is rather like Wlad koing Peter and Chagaev back to back with the Chagaev KO being a blow out. Also, although Klitscko is very, very affective, which cannot and should not be denied, Haye looks the more complete of the two in boxing terms, does he not? Finally Haya has now moved into a bigger division and has one devastating KO win over a journeyman in that new weight division. There's been a lot of talk about Haye's fashioning a legacy before he dare talk to and about Wlad, but perhaps he already has the superior legacy?
Because Haye does not deserve to be, not yet. I will admit the man is dynamic and im not hating on him, but how can he be above Klitschko when his resume is full of nobodies aside from Macranelli and Mormec
Not nobodies - not at all, some good fighter. But not cracking fighters. However, when he DID step up, he twice blew out his nearest competitor in the division by KO. But even if your answer is "no", that still doesn't make the quesiton stupid. If the majority of people think the answer is yes, though, that would be very interesting.
It´s not really the who but the numbers of top10 hws - even some atgs didn´t fight as many top10 contenders during their reign.
I hear you, sorry for saying stupid mate :good . I just think that Haye is still pretty untested. The most he shown was in the Mormec fight which I give him credit for, but other than that fight he hasnt faught people too willing to trade. Macranelli was so scared to get hit it was a shame, he was ready to go the instant Hayes glove got near his face which was a big dissappointment to me. Wlad has beat some pretty good names, like Mercer, Byrd, Brewster, Peter, Ibragimov, McCline, all guys at or near the top at one poing or another. I think thats superior to Hayes resume, you know
It's pretty close. Klitschko has a slight edge, he has a consistent resume of decentish fighters, even though those horrible KO losses hit him pretty hard. Haye probably only has 2 good wins, but they equal the best of Klitschko's, and the manner of them was more spectacular than what we are seeing from Wlad. I would say Klitschko slightly, but if Haye gets a couple of solid wins (not neccessarily top 5 fighters) at HW I would lean towards him.
It's already been said but Klitschko's wins over a string of top ten heavyweights edges Hayes two wins over Macca and Mormeck.
Haye isn`t p4p better than Vladimir.I`m not sure he`d get passed that Chris Arreola if he fought him.
