Should Haye fight another bum or take a risk before Klit?

TKO 7 Mormeck I think. He stood up and looked okay and steady (unlike a certain somebody else...), but the ref looked into his eyes and called a halt to proceedings.

Yes he has a lot to prove to live up to his own words. Especially if he's going to fight with the style he did against Barrett everytime.

Haye obviously eats a good diet...........to have his body in such good shape.

he combines this with a tough training regime.

Haye seems to be living the life these days.

He needs to if he is to have any chance of being heavyweight champion.

Too fragile and small I think though

    It was a TKO.

I felt Mormeck was gone, and it was a good stoppage.

It's important to note that those two fights were against number 1 and 2 and for three belts and undisputed.

At Heavyweight he's faced two guys officially ranked in the top 15. They haven't lasted half a championship fight between them!

I understand the reservations against Haye but he is making all the right moves and doing okay.

He might punch harder, but is easier to telegraph due to his lack of speed.

It was clearly a good stoppage since Mormeck didn't protest. I was just a bit shocked at the time because Mormeck looked steady for a few seconds, better than Macca when he got knocked down.

It's kinda a moot point whether Sam Peter punches harder than Haye (which isn't proven in his record). Sam Peter hardly landed a significant punch because he was too slow and lacking basic punch technique.

It did seem surprising, but I would rather see a premature stoppage than a guy being allowed to carry on miles too long. To be fair to him, he will have known that he was done and was going back to the canvas straight afterwards.

Reminds me a bit of Hatton/Mayweather, in that (IMO) the stoppage was perfectly timed. Cortez could probably have stopped that one when Hatton's legs looked a bit weak rather than waiting for him to be put on his ass again.

Peter has no technique whatsoever, you are correct. He merely throws wild bombs, in the hope that someone walks right onto it. Haye often does that - so it would be a good fight.

Haye would beat Valuev - he is simply too slow and won't be able to get his shots off.

For a huge guy he ain't a bad boxer, but doesn't punch all that hard really.

Valuev would be a struggle for Haye as he might have to go 12 which he doesn't really cater for in his style. He'd have to fight much more conservatively to save energy and get rounds in the bank. Ruiz did kinda stun him, so maybe he could do the unthinkable and slay the giant, but i don't see it.

Otherwise it can be a bit of a nightmare when the giant is leaning all over him and wearing him out down the stretch and he hasn't got the legs.

Most likely, to beat valuev, Haye has to fight smart for 12 rounds. Now this is something he hasnt proven he can do.

I suppose this would probably be a fight where you find out what Haye has up his jumper.
