Should Haye go stateside or Retire?

Apparently Haye's management doesn't listen to anything Golden Boy has to say, but Golden Boy gets a cut of Haye's purses.

Win for Golden Boy from that respect, they do no work and receive money for it.

 

i dont think he is gonna retire. he wants a rematch. he probably will end up fighting the winner of adamek-vitali

 

I' d like to see him keep on fighting. He's best in hyping up the fights and I would really like to see him against Arreola, Adamek and the rest of the top dogs in HW division.

 

I think he should carry on.

A pts loss to Wlad is hardly the end of the world.

 

I think he should finally fight a LIVE contender.

He talked his way into the Wlad fight and didnt do ****.This time he should earn his shot.

 

No Haye should retire.

He has gone backwards. He always has stamina issues due to throwing every shot a 100% normally. He started to gas in the Ruiz fight, was told by his corner, to throw fast punches not power punches.

The gas issue vanished, his accuracy improved and the power came back, because he gets his power through speed.

All did all the way through the wladimir fight was try to potshot from the outside. He promise plan B,C and D. Plan A assumed he could knock Wladimir out with one punch. Once that failed he was feinting, while Wladimir was jabbing, so of course it was easy for Wladimir he was the only guy throwing.

Rounds 6-11 for haye were a disgrace not the whole fight. Having found the cure for his worsed faults he failed even to try what had worked best for him.

Haye trains like an explosive sprinter, not a boxer, he avoids distance running.

Wladimir could have stepped it up in the fight and he did when Haye hurt him. So Wladimir chose to dance at Hayes pace, example of his borring style.

If Haye went for speed rather than power he would have got to Wladimir more. I think it would have been more entertaining but unless Haye could take Wladimir out which I am not so sure now he can the outcome would be the same.

For Haye to continue he would have to develop an offensive style to mix with his counter punching to beat Wladimir. You can not get a new style in a couple of months. It takes a hard slog of two or three years.

He could perform better against Wladimir opting for the Ruiz cure, but still only have a punchers chance. To be truely in with a shot against any heavyweight he can not knockout who throws volume he needs greater output and an offensive style.

To produce his best shot against Wladimir again, he needs fights, proper stamina training, some humble pie and an offensive style. In three years Wladimir may well have retired.

There is zero chance of beating Wladmir at present. Vitali it depends how much he has slowed down.

 

Unless he wants to move on with his life living as a recluse, I don't think it's a good idea to retire. He can still beat a lot of top contenders. If he retires soon without taking another fight he'll forever be remembered as the little engine that couldn't cut it. If I'm not mistaken I believe he wants to pursue a career in showbiz. Don't know how he can do that with a stained reputation.

 

He should retire ... He did a lot in the sport ... The only fighter of any relevance is Vitali ...

David Haye is the 3rd best HW in the world ... its just a shame the two guys ahead of him are freakin amazing. I think that he shouldn't have pushed the fight with Vitali so strong, I'm sure he believed in what he was saying but without actually being in the ring with Wlad he was sadly mistaken. There's no one else to fight because no one else is credible and no one else has any belts. I don't think he deserves a shot with Vitali and he definitely doesn't deserve a rematch with Wlad.

 

He should keep fighting if he would have hit anyone else in the HW division with those bombs they would have went down. He at least brings some excitement as far as hyping a fight.
