Should Haye play around with Waldo first?

Well it's probably true, if Haye cannot get to him, Wlad is going to look to lay on a beating.

The problem is that they all seem to freeze when in front of WLaddy. Last to jump on him was Peter. And despite his atrocious lack of skills, he almost koed Klitschko (thanks to some obvious rabbit punches).

Wlad panics under pressure... I'd tell Haye to use the Golota blueprint. Rush him early and try to hurt him. The longer the fight goes, the more it plays into Wlad's hands. Haye certainly is physically fit, but as far as the actual endurance and stamina of being able to throw massive power punches and still have something in the tank after many rounds it remains to be seen if Haye can win a fight like that. Against Fragomeni and Mormeck he was forced to go into semi-deep waters and he passed the test, though he struggled along the way. I just feel like if Haye is going to win, it's going to have to be a stoppage inside of 7 rounds, otherwise he'll slow down in the later rounds and Wlad will keep Haye's tired ass at bay with his effective jab and overhand right. Rush Wlad early and keep applying pressure.

i hope haye kills him. but i hope he wins by knock out after dominating for about 5 rounds and then knocking him out so no one can say it was a fluke.

Anyone who's seen Haye fight will tell you that he WILL go for broke with this one. That's his best chance, and thats how he fights anyway.

I expect Haye to be throwing that right-hand bomb from the first few seconds, how Wlad deals with this speed and aggression will determine the outcome of the fight.

If Haye started aggressive Wlad will knock him out quick.

Haye cannot avoid Wlads jab, no head movement, Wlad had better footwork, better jab, better stamina.

Wlad had the harder punches, hooking the jab and so on.

Some of you dream boys are just unrealistic.

Wlad is a real proven Heavyweight Champion and Haye will feel it and i will enjoy it!

    Go Champ, knock him out!

I have never anticipated a heavyweight fight for a long long time. This is something I can't wait to watch. I want to see Haye demolish Klit. I just don't see it happening. Klit will use his reach and jab him to death while haye tries to keep it from being a boring fight.

Haye's got head movement. He's got reflexes. It's what he's got instead of a proper defence. If Wlad is faster than Haye's responses then it's going to be a loooooong night for young David.

Question for you more experienced people... I did Chinese Wrestling for a few years... lots of stand-up clinches, traps, locks and low throws. Most of the time the rules did not allow groundwork so going to the floor caused a break. I'm only a small guy, reliant on technique rather than strength, and when I fought under those rules I would regularly take a knee if I was getting smothered by a bigger stronger guy. Why waste effort? OK, I lost points, but I was usually faster than the other guy and getting my space back was worth the penalty.

Could Haye do the same thing? Instead of letting Wlad smother him in close and drain his strength, could he take a knee, conserve his energy and force the ref to break? Hell, is he even allowed to do that?

He should box smart and wait for his opportunity. If he plays with Wlad, he'll get stopped. If he rushes Wlad, he'll gas and get stopped. Even boxing smart he'll probably get stopped, but that's his best chance.

Haye should get started early otherwise, if he messed around for a few rounds it's going to a long night and the pressure will be put on Haye while Wladimir's jab and other punches have been established.

I do agree with most that Haye has a chance, but the chance will get smaller as the fight progresses.

Haye would probably need to spend it all in the first 2-6 rounds and hope it works - which it may.

    ________________

    So, in short:

If Haye wants to see the final bell and lose a UD then he should just try to keep the tempo low and hope that Wlad will wait as long as possible to turn up the heat. A lot of grappling and so on.

If, on the other hand Haye wants to win, then he must attack from the get go. It is more all or nothing and he will probably get stopped if it doesn't work, but he will also have a decent chance of either stopping Wlad or scaring him enough to perhaps get a points win in the end.

should I say how lame and ******ed your thread is first?

or should I just talk how deep is your head up Haye's ass?
