Excerpt from an article I recently read:

The time might be now for HBO to give Mayweather the final ultimatum: “You fight Pacquiao with the 14-day random test cut off – like you agreed – or we will no longer support and sponsor you. If you don’t fight Pacquiao, we’re going to lowball you and concentrate on marketing and promoting Paul Williams, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan and Tim Bradley as future Pacquiao opponents.”
What can Floyd do, where can Floyd go? He has to march to the orders of HBO.

that would be stupid since HBO makes millions of dollars off Mayweather whether he fights PAcquiao or anyone.

HBO has to lowball either Floyd or Pacquiao or keep them both and come up with a concensus.

  4. HBO should boycott them both.

It's business. HBO isn't boycotting anybody.

HBO aint boycotting **** nor should they unless the fans make it clear that's the way they feel. If the fans say to the tune of 1 million + buys that they are fine with watching floyd hit a heavy bag then HBO would be foolish no to have it on their network and make money off of it.

If the fans want the fight so bad then they need to boycott both fighters fights until they agree to fight one another. As long as each guy can make $20 mil or more fighting whomever they want there is no real incentive for them to really make the fight.

HBO doesn't care, they know both guys can make a lot of money fighting whoever they decide to anyway. They're not looking for one mega event, they want to secure as many as possible. This is business, not a glory competition.

If Pac and May can't come to an agreement this time, HBO should tell them both to **** off.

They wouldn't, of course, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't.
