he won't answer my question about how merchant can possibly be a good scoring judge, either. Instead, he likes to throw little temper tantrums and utilize the word "******" a lot. Then he gets a reacharound from fellow **** "mexican legend" to cap it off. Solid posting all around.

Gee, again, i think you have problems with differentiating "fact" from "personal opinion". You seem to give off the sense that if you think something is a certain way that almost everyone else agrees with you. Well, the poll results show otherwise. You seem to think that your opinion speaks for everyone else.

And yeah, i remember the Tito/RJJ scenario you talk about. I was somewhere in between in terms of the scoring. Tito did win a good chunk of the early rounds based on aggression and body shots thrown/landed while RJJ was simply absorbing them and didn't do much. RJJ did get in some right hands but again, it comes down to what a person prefers. Max preferred the few crisp, right hands thrown by RJJ while Lederman preferred Tito's aggression and activity.

And you think it's a bad scorecard that Lederman had Pavlik ahead at the time of stoppage? It was his daughter that needed a brain check as she had Taylor well ahead.

And you are the same guy who said that Margarito beat Williams. Well, i would safely assume on this one that most people would say that YOU can't score a fight based on this scorecard. Most had Williams winning 8-4 or 7-5. It was close but clear. Would you like it if people said that you can't score a fight because of this one scorecard?

Like i said man, it comes down to subjective opinions. Just because you scored a fight a certain way doesn't mean everyone else did or everyone else saw what you see.

yes, he's useless. Get rid of Lampley too while they're at it........and Kellerman. In fact replace everybody but Merchant.

    I agree with you somewhat:

-If a 'safety first guy' is running (a la PBF), you have to reward the other guy for taking the risk to make a fight. Even if the runner is landing at a higher %

-In situations where the aggressor is coming forward and his opponent is circling and landing counters (like Toney), then I would score the round for the counter-puncher

I know it's a small distiction, but in my mind it's clear
