I know boxing is regulated mainly by weight, and that makes sense. Weight determines the division, the weigh-in, and whether a fighter is eligible to compete. But I think boxing commissions should also officially measure and publish every fighter’s **real height and reach**. Not to create height divisions or stop fights from happening, but simply to give fans, analysts, commentators, and opponents better data. Right now, fighter stats are inconsistent. One boxer is listed at 6'1 on one site, 6'0 on another, and then looks completely different when standing next to another fighter. Some heights seem inflated for marketing, and reach measurements are also not always clear. An official measurement would be easy: * Height measured barefoot * Reach measured under the same standard * Updated once a year or before major fights * Published next to the official weight This would improve boxing analysis a lot. You could better understand who is tall for a division, who is compact and dense, who is fighting below their natural size, and who has a real distance advantage. For example, height alone does not tell the full story. A 5'10 fighter with a 74-inch reach fights very differently from a 5'10 fighter with a 69-inch reach. Same weight class, completely different physical tools. Boxing already gives us official weights. Adding official height and reach would not be complicated. Like you say everything in Boxing is basically covered by weight so making height and reach measurements official is basically not needed just more info for the fans.Let the Commission bring back same day weigh ins and 15 rounds for Championship fights that I’d like to see .
