Coming in skinny and running and tickling for 12 rounds doesn't get it done, should Hughie join up with the Kronk and come in 250lb of inside fighting-ness

Hughie just isn’t good enough, wouldn’t matter who trained him.

A great trainer can unlock your potential and maximise your potential.

However, Hughie doesn’t have the potential or talent to become a world HW champion or an elite fighter.

I wish people would stop using his age as an excuse for him not being anywhere near as good as Tyson.

Would he beat Joe Joyce or Martin Bakole? I don’t think so. I think a skilled HW who has effective aggression beats him just based on him not doing anything offensively himself. Him not showing any aggression or ambition himself in there against the higher level opposition has always been his downfall.

Hughie's biggest weakness is his poor punching technique, he can't throw a proper overhand right to save his life and his form goes south really fast when he tries to go after an opponent. He moves well, has a good chin, size and cardio, so working on his punching technique would really help him (that was always Tyson's biggest flaw, even if he was never nearly as bad as Hughie).

Needs to work on power and offence. Everything else is good.

watch the pulev fight. Once the cut happens all he keep trying to do is lure pulev into the corner and catch him with that big bingo shot he got sexton out with.

    doesn’t try much else

Maybe the beat thing for Hughie would be to fight out of his natural stance.
The days where no one wants to fight southpaws are gone now and the fact that he's already with MR gives him the benefit of Eddie making fights for him
I do think that Peter is maybe a bit too defensively minded, which imo is a good way to teach fighters, early on in their careers.
He should give Hughie the opportunity of fighting out of his natural stance and start sending him fwd a bit more now.

Hughie won’t leave peter, and there is the problem.

Tyson has the talent, size and man strength for round stealing tag boxing that peter loves. Hughie doesn’t.

of course kronk would help him, he would experience something new to what he’s grown up with, and as he’s coming into prime years would benefit him extremely

    won’t happen though

Everybody with the bottle to get in the ring deserves huge credit, but the constant chances Hughie keeps getting through Tyson's name is madness. Maybe it'd be fair enough if he was a Dave Allen type of personality who has fun fights, but Hughie is unfortunately a mute personality, and his negative, safety first approach is poison.

The ''He's only young, he'll have learned a lot in there tonight'' line ran out of petrol ages ago. I have no interest in seeing him at world level or even worse on a PPV show again.

I like Dave Allen but its not a good comparison as Hughie is 10 x the fighter he is.
