I'm not sure what you're saying here. Have you been at a boxing gym before or not? Because if you haven't been trained by a boxing coach you do not know how to box.

If anything that post means you should get your ass in the boxing gym even sooner. If you learned yourself how to fight you probably have shitloads of bad habits.

well, i dont think you read my posts at all.. but i said, "which weightclass should i be fighting at?", thats all i asked.. and since you didnt read i'll say this again.. come january i'll be in a boxing gym.. between house arrest, getting my money up, and studying for my GED/getting it.. going to a boxing gym wasnt an option, not to mention the closest one is a 30-45minute drive.. which is why i'm moving to atlanta in jan., where there swamped with boxing gyms, that's why i said before.. "i wont be in a gym untill jan".. and who's to say i cant box because i've never been trained by a coach?... i mean, unless i'm mistaken, we've never met.. and BTW, if you know about Dwight Muhammed Quawi and his boxing baccground then you'll know there's nothing wrong with my situation and outlook on boxing.. and if you dont, then look it up... but yeah, to me it sounded like you was trying to be a smartass, but maybe i read it wrong, if so i apolligize.. and thanx eitha way for your concern

Ok mate. Despite never having actually boxed I bet you're one hell of a boxer. You should definitely fight at heavyweight. You type like a very strong guy.

ight, you not getting it.. so this'll be my last comment towards you.. but i'll clearify one last time.. i was BOXING when i was lockked up... i've been BOXING this whole year... just because you dont box in a boxing ring, doesnt mean you're not boxing, does it? i dont know, maybe i'm typing something wrong, but i've realized this is pointless, arguing with a ***** that has over 12,000 points.. i may end up fighting as a heavyweight, but you're certainly the heavyweight here... so i'll go up my boxing game, and you go up your post count.. and we can see who make more of an impact, ight?

There's a big difference between boxing and trying to copy what you've seen on TV. Unless you've actually been to a boxing gym, I very much doubt you can box.

Well, sort of. That's what everyone has been getting at I think.

I'm not doubting wether or not you have a fighter's instinct or that you are scrappy or whatever. But once you join a gym and begin seriously training you'll understand that there is a HUGE difference between 'boxing' and fighting.

From my experience, the guys that have the least to prove and have the smallest egos excel the fastest in this sport. If you already think that you know how to box without ever stepping inside a ring, or even a gym with a legit trainer for that matter, then there is no reason for you to join a gym at all. It will do nothing for you.

Well, stop thinking about this stuff before you have even been in a gym. Go in there and try it out, you may get a bit more humble very quickly! That would actually do you good, since that is when you stop talking and start putting in the hard work. Then you're half way there to the finished product. :good
