Sup brahs... My next Amateur MMA bout is in April but should I also take a K1 rules fight in May? I've spent the last year working really hard on my ground game so should i still take the fight? Thoughts? :think Lynchburg
Be good experience and it's after the MMA fight, so it won't leave you injured for that. How many weeks between the first fight and the second?
I never thought of it like that. Cheers brah... BJJ: March 25th (Not 100% sure if i'm in or not yet as it was full) MMA: April 15th K1: 26th May (Same day as Bute Vs Froch... was thinking of taking the missus :think) Lynchburg EDIT: I'm away in Europe from about the 21st April to 2nd May so not training in that time...
You'll have about 3 weeks once you get back from Europe to train for the fight.... not too bad. Depends what you're doing in Europe...
Going to Holland for a bit.. Then this... This content is protected After that i'll be chilling in Antwerp or Brugge... Lynchburg
Take it. Win, lose or draw it's experience, for your body as well due to the quick turnaround. Good luck :good
What do you have to lose? If MMA is your core sport then K1 will only help you improve. If K1 is your core sport then you should be competing in it.
BJJ is my main sport at the moment and the MMA is just there... I've got this K1 option too plus it's a chance to earn a few squid :think I'll have a long hard think about it and let you all know :deal Lynchburg
Yeah a month should be enough to heal up an superficial cuts and bruises. Holland is the perfect place to get some training and sparring in for kickboxing. Shame you won't be training. I suppose there is a risk of injury if you did as well.
Until someone is a professional athlete then I tell them they have NOTHING to lose except ego. Take every spar and amateur fight that you can.
Go in there kicking ass and taking names. If it's a fair fight then take it and have fun with it. :yep :hop
