Well, I don't know about that. Izzy is definitely overlooked and deserves a shot at getting in based on all he's given us, but Cotto has a very good single win over Mosley and a deep resume full of solid wins that could easily earn him a higher ranking. Neither one is really FAR greater or lesser than the other.

 

:yep We can all agree on this. In his prime he wasn't the most skilled, the fastest, or strongest, but like JLC they could beat fighters that could seem superior in different ways. I never thought a 4th fight with Rafa was necessary basing on what I saw from Vasquez fight prior to the 4th match. Rafa despite his age and being in the twilight of his career is giving young guns like Lopez and Nishioka a run for their money and a good scare here and there which result in good quality fights.

 

Jackson isn't in the HOF actualy.

Vazquez was one of my favorite fighters, but I think he's probably just short. I wouldn't complain if he got in though. What would be best is if both he and Marquez get in together. I think Marquez is a lock, Vazquez a bit less so.

 

If it wasn't for those cuts, imagine how much more he would have given us. IMO, he would have beaten Rafael Marquez those 4 times if it weren't for the cuts. I think he would have beat Lopez too on sheer determination.

 

I'd have Rafael Marquez as a lock, which in itself makes a very strong case for Vazquez.
