The cut above the right eye was ruled to be caused by a punch. (even though action replay saw it was a head butt) then in the 10th they clashed heads again, and this time it was the other eye and no cut was called. yet the doctor looked at the earlier cut and stopped the fight. Also do you think alexander exagerrated his injury to look for a way out, knowing bradley finishes fights strong, and thinking he might be winning at this point. based on the fact that last headbutt caused no extra damage to the cut. yet all of a sudden it was too bad for him to continue. thoughts??
Indeed, according to the rules it should be. All beïng it on a couple of wrong calls put together. :yep Doesn't care. Brad won, Alex quit.
I agree. good observation. although alex would be insane to think he was up on the cards.....i think he was basically just a quitter.
It was the headbutt that ended the fight due to a "burning" sensation, not the cut originally caused by a "punch" that caused the end of the fight
Alexander did a Direll. He is a more skilled fighter than Bradley but Bradley has more heart, detrmination and genuine confidence than 99.9% of boxers out there.
This is actually what I was thinking. Bradley should have won by a TKO since the fight was stopped because of the eye injury that is not part of the recent headbutt.
