In 2013, in an amateur bout, Joe Joyce was knocked down and stopped in the first round by Sergey Kuzmin. Should Joyce attempt to avenge this loss in the pros? This content is protected
From what I've heard, Joyce was for some reason surprised by the timing of the fight and given very little time to warm up. Also he looked fine when stopped
Maybe as a retirement fight. Joyce doesn't have much time; he has been gradually stepping up his competition, and just hit a career high (Parker/WBO Interim/mandatory). Kuzmin even as a tick over fight is a pretty big backward step. Especially if he wants to be a PPV fighter. I think it is on Kuzmin to get his career back on track and start climbing the rankings. Currently, Kuzmin is busy knocking over guys outside the top 100. It's a 'no' for me.
if Kuzmin hadnt already lost to a few more guys and looked very average since turning pro i would say yes.
Lol, legendary chin. Greatest chin in history, thats what i read on here yesterday. A chin cant be trained, so regardless of whether he had time to prep for that or not is irrelevant. That happened with headgear lol ATG already isn’t he
Joyce's chin is being overrated. Wilder can and probably will stop him if they meet. Joyce may not get knocked down by 1 punch, but 2-3 well-placed shots will put him on the canvas.
If I were Warren id shelve Joyce until Fury/Usyk pans out, because he's rolling the dice and risking this happening otherwise. This content is protected
