.......It'd be nice - if not entirely realistic - if you value that sort of thing.

It has to be Pele, there is not really any other option.

It will def be Pele maybe if it was in Sao Paulo where Jofre was a mayor in the past if im not mistaken he would have a better chance there but even then it would be Pele hes the greatest ever brazilian sports icon.

Would be awesome ! Not going to happen though since he isn´t too popular anymore, sadly....

I think Pelé will be the choice, yes........but Pelé is not exactly a hero tbh, sounds strange I guess, but because he made some mistakes politically in sports.. and also because of his personal life, he really wasn´t an example (didn´t recognize one of his daughters, etc)...he is not loved by the people as some others.

The greatest ever brazilian sports icon is Senna, no doubt, at least the bz people loved Ayrton more than anyone....
Jofre never was a Mayor btw, he was an assemblyman of São Paulo...

Nah, Senna is just in another world in terms of worship, not even close....no football player comes close, and this is crazy when we think about it, because formula 1 is not as popular as football, no comparison at all

And this is not because of his tragic death.....no..he was loved before that ! So you can imagine how sad May 1st 1994 was.
I was just a kid, but that is one of my first memories ever....the whole country stopped that sunday, it was crazy man....

Garrincha with the gammy leg!!! :happy

Anyway, it will be Pele. But I'd love it if it was Eder Jofre.

Sadly, chain smoking Socrates is no longer with us, otherwise I'd have picked him :D

I suppose if something happened to Pele in the next four years, Zico would be next on the list?

Oh, Zico would be a great choice, and he is a guy from Rio, totally.
