What has delusions and such to do with it ?

My favourite active HW is Fury and my second favourite is Usyk, though that may be in the process of being reversed due to recent events.

I'm just pointing out facts to somebody who appears to be fact challenged...and sounds a bit like a hater.

Ah yes, that being the first proper fight he ever had, against a C-level opponent, who incidentally outboxed him and sent him reeling, almost knocking him out in the final round.

To not be convinced of a fighter's credibility is not to 'hate' them. You are beginning to sound like a left wing ideologue.

If he was getting his brain rattled in fights I'd say retire. This isn't happening so he should continue.

He is mentally shot, did you not watch any of his last few fights? The brain rattling will happen as soon as he fights anyone with the slightest pop in their punches. Do you really want to see that?

He’s got a fight or 2 left in him….I assume he wants to carry on otherwise he’d have called it a day after Usyk, he’s still a draw and lots of people would still pay a lot of money to see him in a Wilder/Joyce/Fury fight.

    Yep.

When some agenda-driven hater starts tossing around terms like "left wing" in a thread about whether a top five heavyweight should retire, it is evident that he's less interested in debating and more into trolling.

That is boxing in a nutshell. All the guys outside of the top 10 should all just retire cause they will more than likely get KOed. Its boxing. There is always a chance you will get KOed and more so in the heavyweight. If that's your stance on when to retire, we would have no boxing.

Beside Wilder I don't see him getting Koed anytime soon by the very weak heavyweight era.

So Usyk has already beaten him twice, Wilder would obviously flatten him in a round or two, Fury would obliterate him...Joyce would walk right through him...who is he going to be successful against in your opinion?

When some agenda-driven hater starts calling people 'haters' for no reason whatsoever then it is clear that they are a left-wing ideologue. AJ is DONE. It is not about hate, it is about using your brain and eyes, assuming you have both in good working order.

It doesn't matter who we think he can or can't beat. Its the utter stupidity that you think he should retire cause he could get stopped. Again this is boxing. In the top 10 heavyweight ranking you have Parker , Ortiz, Wilder, Whyte who have all suffered from stoppage yet they still continue to fight. Also going by your stance Ruiz should call it quits too cause his head sure as hell isn't in it and a KO waiting to happen. Joshua is still top 10 if not the top 5 in the heavyweight. Fury would try and out box him. Joyce eating punches to beat you nay not work and would actually fall right into Joshua's strength. Wilder only chance is to land that right. If he can't, then Joshua beats him in a boring punch and hug. Thats how I see it and why he should continue to fight if he wants.

That statement alone illustrates that you don't don't understand basic thinking.

It makes as much sense as ...he prefers rum to whisky, so he must be a conservative...

In other words, it make no sense whatsoever.

It tells the readers more about you than about anything you're commenting on.

As for agenda- driven, a quick look at your posting history on the subject of Joshua, makes your agenda pretty evident.

You're implying hat it's me who is the agenda-driven hater...a bit of projection there, G.

Care to point out WHO I hate and what is my agenda ?

I have no agenda other than to argue against the notion that a top five Heavyweight boxer needs to retire.

That, and to refute occasional reams of horse-**** being trotted out by fact-challenged haters.

    But carry on posting....

    The forum has all kinds.

I already mentioned that the AJ of this evening's fight was not the AJ of a few years back.

I was critical of his performance in the RBR, and stated that he appeared distracted and to have lost his killer instinct.

That doesn't mean he needs to retire.

He's still a top five HW with a few years of earning potential left.

In what other enterprise would a man ranked fifth in the world be told he needs to retire ?

Have to say I agree with most of what G Man is saying, apart from the weird left wing hate. Anyway AJ is done and I do believe he almost can't beat Wilder, Fury or Joyce. I would love to see him try to beat Fury though, will be a good scrap I would say and a spicy one at that.
