Was Judah loyal to a fault? Would he had benefited from leaving his father, and going to a trainer who could get the best out of him? I always wonder what could have happened if he would have left his father in his prime for someone like a Manny Steward or something. I'm not sure how good of a boxing mind Yoel Judah is, but I know Judah under the right trainer, learning how to be mentally tough, could have had a way better career than the one he did.

It probably would have helped, though to me a lot of being mentally tough is driven from within, so I'm not sure we'd see much improvement there. I think he would have fought more consistently and intelligently though under someone like Steward.

Zab in his prime was an elite athlete on the world level. I just can't help but think that the right trainer would have brought the best outta him .

I don't think it would have mattered. His weaknesses were mental toughness, conditioning, and discipline. I think a great trainer could have only marginally improved them but they would have never been at the level needed to be a great fighter. It's a shame because, talent wise,he's one of the best I've seen. He just couldn't deliver it on a consistent basis.

Steward would have eliminated I think some of the head scratching losses over Zab's career like Baldomir and Zab's first fight against Cory Spinks. But again, it's hard for me to see him all of a sudden developing that mental toughness. Even Steward couldn't help Cintron on that end.

The damage was done in his youth.

Guy loads up on every shot and therefore has no punch output.

He also lacks a good jab.

Career habits that he got from his amateur days.

Had he started under a Mayweather Snr or a Nacho, or even a Freddie Roach he would have probably been a lot better than he was.

  7. Yeah, I felt his power was very overrated.

He would load up on every shot and that was the reason why he tired out a lot. When he would conserve his energy, his power wouldn't be as devastating. He had quick hands , but his chin was horrible. He was the Amir Khan of his era, except maybe a step above him.

Shame he couldn't put it together, he had talent.
