I think he is one of the weaker fighters at 147 and would probably never when a belt, however I believe he could be a bigtime contender at 140, he has already proven he could beat Junior and he has everything Malignaggi has and more. Hatton being the only fighter I dont see him beating out of the champions.

In his last couple of fights he weighed in at 150+, God knows how much he weighed when he stepped into the ring, he looked quite big and, most important for him, the money are at welterweight.

If he could get his weight down and still be effective (remember that he weighed 150 in his last fight) it might be a good move, i can imagine him blitzing Hatton with that left uppercut and i think he beats Malignaggi too.
However as far as him having already proven he can beat Witter that was a VASTLY less experienced Witter who took the fight on a 2 weeks notice and still went the distance i'm not so sure about that one now.

I think it would be a great move for him that is if he can be atleast 3/4 focused. If he is fully focused he can probably beat anyone at that weight. It is also some money fights out there with a MSG showdown against paulie to see who is brooklyn's finest there, or a hatton fight that should generate some cash (especially judah taking mayweather place as the trash talker). Also some lesser known opponents to the boxing world outside of us hardcore fans like a witter rematch or a torrest fight.
