Why? Ward would just ignore the offer and Golovkin would get blame for ducking.

    Status quo, intact!

catch-weights sometime make sense, as long as they force both sides to make compromise.

I don't believe though Ward can make 168 'comfortably', let alone 164-165 thus I think he's closer to fight with Kovalev than GGG.

No, catchweights are BS. 168 is really a catchweight division anyhow. Fight Ward at 168 for the titles or stay at 160.

Bro Wtf are you getting into? Lol did you even read the full dialogue between us?

I'm ok with some catchweights but I'm not ok with selective catchweights. Like Golovkin fighting Froch at 168 and Ward at 164, Cotto fighting Martinez at 159 and Geale at 157. Selective catchweighting is used to gain advantages and some guys like to take advantage of it.

Catchweights in any title fight is ludicrous, absolutely kills the legitimacy of that title IMO.

Agreed. My previous comment was under the "all titles aside" category lol.

    Froch doesnt rehydrate to 185+

    GGG rehydrates to 168-171.

NTM, the Froch fight would be worth gifting the MW division to Oscar, where GGG can grow into a full SMW.

A Ward fight, especially if he KHTO puts him in the same position he's in now, with Gayman and Hearn and the other promoters hiding their titlists from GGG.

Essentially, the only way he's gonna get the big fights is to go to Canada and fight Beterbiev or Atlantic City and fight Kovalev.

If he fights Ward at 164, he wouldnt have to bulk up for it, and he could come back down.

And wasnt the Cruiserwieght Ward a MW just prior to his tournament.

And dont all GGGs haters claim Ward is a normal SMW, and GGG a normal MW, so niether should have a problem with 164.

    No titles.

    Ward keeps his WBA title.

GGG keeps his and his WBC mandate,:D
