Should Khan fight Peterson/Cayo winner at the reebok?

    Its pretty much a guarenteed win for Khan and a chance to look pretty good, it's also a mandatory.

    Could Khan get a big crowd in bolton for this fight?

    Yes if he cant get a better fight also nothings guaranteed in boxing.

    Doubt it would pull more than 18K.

    A fight between either Peterson/Cayo... Not even a fight between one of them that would even remotely excite me.

    I rather he fight Kell at the Reebok for his 147 debut.

    I think it depends on if he wants to keep his belts (for now) if so, fight the mando and have Brook vs one of the weak 147 champs as the co-feature, both win and sets up their 147 fight?

    Yes he can get a big crowd but it'll take Team Khan 18 months to get it made.

    With heavy promotion Khan could get a 90ish% capacity at the Reebok, with heavy promotion.

    Get a big name in there, and bam you could sell it out!

    No, thats boring. If Morales beats Barrios for the vacant WBC title then I'd much rather see Khan vs Morales. Khan would be unifying again, fighting a name and even though I think Morales is past it, he would have come off of a very close fight with Maidana and a win over Barrios.

    Note: I agree that Morales vs Barrios has to be the most corrupt match up for a vacant title. Morales is coming off of a loss and Barrios is coming off of 3 wins at LIGHTWEIGHT!

    If Khan wins the purse, as he will do with Goldenboy promoting both fighters, he'll have no choice but to come ove, unless he wants to give up his shot.

    Shouldn't be chasing mandatories while people are getting stripped for the worst reasons.

    Maidana vs Guerrero winner for Khan's old title :roll: is a better fight.

    If Peterson is his mando he will be guarenteed 25% if it goes to purse bids. However I would imagine Khan will vacate the IBF rather than face him.

    It's not a duck......there are just bigger fights out there for Khan. Morales, Maidana 2, Guererro, Bradley, Brook, Ortiz, Berto etc.

    I think Peterson is a very underrated fighter. Would love to see Khan take him on.

    I believe Lamont's getting underrated a fair bit nowadays. The Bradley fight i feel was one of the ''higher level'' fights of recent times considering the garbage fights we've seen of recent years at world title level. He just met someone who had experienced that type of fight and had the know how. Lamont was rather green in that fight although having plenty of fights before hand that was a major step up from facing ''opponents''. He didn't disgrace himself and against anyone else that night may of captured a world title.

    Against Ortiz instead of taking belief he seemed to fight within himself and with fear early on. He was far to low and was getting pressured well by Ortiz who forced him back and tee'd off on him. Round 5 IIRC was the round when he landed the fight that turned the tide and buzzed Ortiz and from that moment onwards he fired back to snatch a draw which wasn't looking likely early on.

    It wouldn't be a terrible fight for Khan but i cannot see it i think the will plump for Erik :-(.
