Should Khan have stayed amateur?

    You know as well as everyone else with that judging that it would have not been a lock by any means, no matter how well he performed.

    That's true, actually.

    The judging is bloody horrible.

    Hearns, Norris and fighters like them, have a chin which is on a different level to Khan's. There is not one great fighter in history with the punch resistance Khan has. It's simply impossible to get to the top if you can't take a decent punch.

    Yeah, Hearns didn't have a great chin, but it was good enough. You can't have a war with Marvin Hagler and not have a respectable chin, even if you last only 3 rounds. Khan in that position, against an equivalent hitter to Hagler, would last less than 2 minutes. Khan could not go 26 rounds against an equivalent puncher to Leonard?

    There are elite fighters with poor chins, yes, but theirs was good enough to work around.

    um actually if an amature star is great there home country will normally take good care of them ...hence mike phelps getting ready to make 100 mil in endorsements

    He'll be back. It's not over for him. He is only 21. He is still young enough to completely remake himself. I can see him being a titlest by 25.
