He should clean out 140. He said he wanted to retire at 28. If this is true then yea he should move to 147 after beating Tim Bradley

i dont see a floyd/cotto/mosley type of superstar around for him to fight by the time hes goes up to welteweight.

i think if he beats bradley,he should move to welter.

needs a good test to see that he can be effective at welterweight.

or he could have a big earner vs m.hatton or kell brook if they both are better in a year or so.

i think Khan vs Berto is very likely.

Khan v alverez could happen possibly.

There are the euro champs he would probably face for one of the titles.

he could rematch maidana and bradley at 147 also, maybe fight ortiz at that weight if ortiz is still going and has improved his weak mind.

Stylewise who does he match up best with at welter? can he actually hang with Floyd? he's got the speed but I think he lack of good timing and accuracy and sometimes bad feet would be his undoing. With a little more polish, perhaps 5 or so fights and some solid training camps behind him, he could make a case if he looks good, to beat Floyd. But he has to show a little more than great speed, decent combo punching and survival skills. He needs to develop some proper ring generalship, with quick feet and time his shots better.

    most definitely.
there isnt really anyone for him at 140 unless he wants to take on maidana again or alexander (which would be pointless for his career unless alexander does something really interesting in the meantime- like KO maidana or something).
saying that there's not that many at 147 either so we'll have to wait and see......

either way is ok with me. Staying in 140 to fightA Ortiz if he somehow is able to climb up the ranks again or if Khan wants to make a statement about being the best at 140 by cleaning out 140 by going against Alexander, I'm all for that.

147 against Berto sounds like a great fight for both guys so I'm all for that as well.

I don't think he needs to rush to be honest. That's what got him knocked out in the first place.

He doesn't struggle making the 140lb limit as far as I know, he needs all the experience he can get under Roach...some major improvements in certain areas aswell. Especially when considering the match-ups that can be made at 147lbs...it's one thing beating Bradley, and then another thing beating Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I actually believe Mayweather and Pacquiao will always beat Khan (unless both are severely declined)...they are just more natural in the ring, they have good (Pacquiao)/great (Mayweather) ring IQ. And although Pacquiao somewhat relies on Roach being in his corner, his intelligence has definitely improved...I havn't seen that from Khan yet, he needs Roach.

So no, I don't think he should make the jump straight away...some interesting bouts for Khan at 147lbs in the future...Alvarez, Berto, etc...but not straight away...maybe late 2012.

I would like him to take out Bradley first then take brook out in fashion before he okay with the big boys!!!! Khan need to work on his d first and he needs to slow the speed put more power into the shots and increase his accuracy but keep up with the massive combos!! He showed against Maidana he has alot of power and up intill the 9 many would of said khan will be a top 10 p4p contender! I'm happy khan has shown us his weaknesses it makes him more interesting and him and roach will be working on those and from the speed he has learnt so far he should do just fine! 2 years and I honestly feel khan could be great
