Unless Khan develops a Mayweather-esque defence it seems that something needs to be done about that punch resistance if Khan is to win a real world title. He has claimed in the past that his body fat is 1.5%, if his body fat is anywhere near his claims then perhaps this is one of the causes for his chinny chin chin?

So, should he test the waters at light welter? Starting in December.

Not too sure it would be wise. He would probably just get knocked out faster.

The problem isn't weight draining it's his lack of defence, weak chin and misplaced sense of bravado.

According to boxing rec he's 5ft 11. I didn't realise he was that tall.

Nah Khan is 5.9 and abit. They like to make him bigger for some reason. Prescott is suposedly 5.11 which looked about right.

Said before the match Khan was 5.10, Prescott 5.11 but Khan had a bigger reach.

The BBC, have him at 5 ft 10 - Prescott was visibly a fair bit taller. 5 ft 9 and a bit is probably about right. Boxing rec 5ft 11 can't be correct.

I think he would last longer against Margarito than Prescott, because from the first bell he will be running like buggery :deal

This could be a new sport. Who can knock Amir out quickest? And can they do it befor Usain Bolt gets from his front row seat to, well, the aisle?!

Seriously this (Khan's getting KO'd) has been on the cards for a long, long time. He will never amount to anything. And to think, I actually read a review of Audley's fight AFTER this and Audley was described as somthing along the lines of the biggest joker in British boxing. At least he got a Gold medal and beat a proven proffessional in Danny Williams. Frank Warren has reached the bottom of the barrell.

On another note, how much is the current amateur system contributing to the lack of decent amateur's making noise once they turn over? To me amateur boxing now bears more resemblance to Tae Kwon Do or something. One strike and start again. Just a thought.

Spot on. When was the last time anyone saw an amateur fight that even vaguely resembled Finnegan - Kisselev

    LMAO at Margarito v Khan.

To answer the question though, I can't see how Khan can survive at LWW, assuming he doesn't stick to sub british level fighters.

Lets face it, even if he faces Paulie Mag he's in trouble - Cotto hit him with everything and he kept coming, what would Khan have to keep Paulie from winning on points? Or even forcing a stoppage?
