There's several videos of the fight on youtube now. Here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFlxTwVgE2w Khan hits the floor at 0.46 in the video and is on his feet as it ticks from 0.49 to 0.50. What's really the point of discussing this? The video's available for anyone who wants to watch it. You can count it yourself or there's the little timer in the corner. Or you can simply rely on your memory, possibly of some other fight, whilst claiming that the video has been deleted.
Let me know when you have a link. The referee doesn't touch Khan's gloves. The camera is focussed on Khan, but I'm also pretty sure he doesn't stop counting. At least he gets to ten in step with how he was counting before. This is getting ****ing ridiculous, I just posted a link to a video of the fight and you're still posting made-up stuff.
cobbler, I just watched the actual fight there khan goes down and gets up at 3 the ref continues counting and khan goes back down on one knee at 8! the ref then stops counting and motions his hands to get up, now all im saying is that aint normal is it?
Well done. That's exactly what I said happened, and a complete contradiction of what you were claiming earlier. At least we've established that. I do try to check my facts before posting. The only thing left to establish now, is that Khan goes down to one knee at 8, the referee lowers his hands in line with Khan's face, as is usually done so the fighter can see the count. Khan bounces back up at which point the referee is counting ten, so I'm not really sure where you think the count stopped.
i know Willie, and when i asked him about it, he just sayed it was a good fight and khan done well to come back,
but what im saying is that your meant to get up at 8 not go down and hope the ref tells you to get up! that said i dont think he made the count if the ref is doing his job correct and by the way the ref brother is jim mcdonald who i believe trains sports network fighters
My point is that Limond has a on going problem with his eardrum its been burst severl times before, it did not burst because he was taking a beaten or because khan is a massive puncher, he went through 12 hard rounds with Watson and it never burst he fought Arthur and it never burst, but then again i read it has burst when he was sparring so its nothing to do with how hard he's getting hit it just sometimes happen's, The fact Limond held his own and really stopped Khan the round before and then had to retire because of something that had nothing to do with the fight it's self i think warrents a re-match. And if anyone was getting a severe beating it was Khan, Limond looked unsteady on his feet and fell to the side but only because a burst ear drum effects your balance. Why wont Khan give him a rematch if it was so easy last time?, because he's so far ahead of domestic and euro fighters? because he's world class?. Well Khan has yet to fight someone who has a decent punch (not a massive puncher, just average), he all most alway's fights guy's from the weight below even though he is a massive light weight, he avoids anyone who might hit him back or ruff him up a bit, Look at Thaxton iam pretty sure Khan would out box him but the fight wont happen cause he has a punchers chance, he is a china chined ****-bag and i can not wait for him to get sparked. And as for that "count", he got knocked down, jumped up and fell back down on one knee, then the count (that took 13sec) began, any other fighter would have been STOPPED.
The ref did not know what to do, it was not part of the script he got! Khan down by wee light punching Limond, he prob got a good bonus for saving china chin that night!.
Khan should step up in class from St Clair, Earl and Kristjansen and fight Limond. Every opponent since the first fight has been a back ward step.
