I was thinking that with these division today, Lewis could be a top 3 fighter easily. Would you want him to come back?
do you have a time machine to bring lennox from 1995 into our time to fight..in that case..sure...but if you mean a 45 year old man who is looking fat and gray>>>then no....if the history of boxing tells us anything its that basically everyone starts to decline rapidy a great deal after 40 if not before..some exceptions yes...but i doubt lewis would be one...
Todays Lewis, at 45, who hasn't kept up his skills or his sharpness, would struggle to be a top 20 heavyweight.
and dont compare it to a foreman type comeback....foremans comeback started about the same age lewis retired.. 37 years old.....and it took him 3 years to get his crack at holyfield....why am i wasting time on this subject?
Well i hear you guys but.... Foreman came back at 46 looking fat as hell but he was a top fighter, wasn't he? I'm sure Lewis is not worse than him. And to a poster who said that Lennox would lose to a top 20 fighter is crazy. Lewis would probably beat any top 10 fighter without training
He has said that he would comeback to fight Bowe, and I don't give a rat's ass what any of you say- I would watch.
