Should Lewis make a comeback?

I believe he had said so more than once, but I am thinking specifically of an article a couple of years back on a compeating websight in which he said that he would come back and fight Bowe for free. I believe that he would.

problem is, you watch a youtube clip of lewis from 1997 and think thats gonna be him in 2011. its not...... its easy to think that since lewis doesnt have a cane and looks pretty good for 45...but being in shape and in "fighting shape" is a big difference

I predict this thread will be fourteen lines long by this time tomorrow. Every post will be a variation of:

1. He could beat any of these bums with one hand tied behind his back (his fans and Brits).

3. He lost to bums like Oliver Mcall and Haseem Rahmen and wasn't that good in the first place (Klit fans and most Americans).

2. He's old, fat and stoned. (Realists).

 

why did you post it as 1, 3, and 2...instead of the regular order of 1, 2, and 3....but anyhow..most people said 2...(or what normal people would call 3)

 

Good catch. Its because was going to put the third one as number two, realized that it would be more asthetically pleasing if the realists went last, and forgot to change the numbers.

Lewis will never come back unless he goes broke, but he invested his money well. I would love to him to fight Vitali again. Vitali would really love it.

Great champions arent Supermen. Even Roy Jones gets his ass kicked by mediocre fighters in todays age. A 280 pound old man Lewis with arthritis is no different.

 

I honestly believe he would fight bowe, but Lewis retired and stayed retired for a number of reasons.

He is VERY content with his legacy. He was starting a family when he quit. He knew his skills were slipping. He is financially secure. Apparently, his mom does not want him to fight anymore.

I was honestly a Lewis fan since since the Olympics, and a small part of me would like to see him give it another brief run, but he ain't going to do it unless he gets Bowe and 98% of me is damned happy about it.
