Two completely separate issues. Bigger's Better should be sanctioned but aren't because no commission has bothered. They are still prizefights between professional combat athletes - meaning whatever background they are coming from, they have professional experience be that in boxing, kickboxing, MMA, whatever. WSB tourneys are sanctioned by what is very specifically a chartered amateur boxing association, with proprietary rules tailored very specifically to itself, with set-upon compensation for team members (and not the free-market pay system of pro sports), and consist of hitherto amateur boxers. Think hard about the differences above outlined. Actually flex that big grey muscle of yours.
Don't think there's much chance d happening mate, your lore than likely goijg to get the same 'but they get paid money ' **** we've been here for the past 5 pages
Yeah, asking him to actually think - a bit like telling a honey badger that kale is an underrated and scrumptious part of a balanced diet, eh?
OK, quick question. If they're not professional boxers, what profession do you suggest they are? Just answer that. Paddy Barnes missus gives birth tomorrow, what goes under "Profession of father" Im all ears.
His paid by the Irish sports concil that support amatuer athletes. But there's no point in arguing or making valid point when someone with autism as bad as yours gets something in there head there's no changing there mind
Just answer the question. Sonia O Sullivan received money from the Sports council and was a millionaire pro athlete. David Gillick would say his profession was "athlete". Michelle De Bruins profession was "Swimmer" Paddy Barnes profession is...... Does the Irish sports council also pay the Irish boxers in the WSB too btw?
Yes from sponsorship and book deals and appearances not from running, if Barnes wasn't getting the full grant he would probebly have to have a part time job and still be on the Irish team I don't expect you to understand these concepts as you a singleminded person suffering from severe autism so I'm going to leave it at that His profession is amateur boxer As stated before the wsb is not an open market no matter who you are you are paid the same or how pod you do, it more along the lines of compensation rather than pay
His profession is amateur boxer....Beautiful...a truly beautiful sentence. Sonia O Sullivan was the Golden league winner multiple years. She was a massively well paid runner. No one in the world would consider O Sullivan an amateur athlete. Actually my brother competed in the Olympics for Ireland, receiving a grant and was a full time student. As close to amateur as you can get in this day and age. Im fully aware of how the system works. Theres even boxers on the Irish team who do hold down jobs, like Adam Nolan who is a guard. The big time fighters in the WSB are not like that.
Sean og o'halpin the first full time gaa player, he was an amatuer sportsman as his profession , same way Barnes profession is amatuer boxer Who's your brother? Your really making yourself look thick her man
I dont wish to tell the world who I am on internet forums. My brother rowed 4's for Ireland though. Im thick? You just said someone was a professional amateur! If Sean Og was making a living from his sport, then guess what? He is no longer an amateur sportsperson. And even then,he wasnt being DIRECTLY PAID, for playing his sport like WSB competitors. If the GAA were openly paying their players, and paying them more, the further they go, and then turned around and said "oh, but they're still amateur"...you think that **** would fly? The term is "Professional amateur" is in actuality as stupid as it sounds.
And is there such a thing as professional rowing? Gaa players do receive compensations for playing genius so they are paid directly just the same way wsb boxers are compensated Your thick because you can't see past words and understand basic concepts
No...not the same way as WSB. Do any GAA players get told "If you play on Sunday, you'll get 5 grand...if you win, you'll get 10" And yes, GAA IS becoming more professional. Many old timey GAA people are worried about it to be honest. If GAA players were getting "paid for play", Id like to think the GAA would drop the facade,,and not keep it up like the AIBA. No, you're thick because you think something is amateur because some bureaucrat at the AIBA tells you something is amateur, despite all the evidence in front of your eyes. Essentially you're showing an inability to think for yourself.
