We now have video evidence of a "doctor" stating that he has a life threatening condition.

I think it's time to put him out to pasture in a nursing home so people can take care of him. He can take all the necessary meds and not worry about drug tests.

The guy is on death's door so he needed banned substances. Why can't people cut him some slack for that?

I say we choose life, and have his license permanently revoked for his own good.

The guy has no other skill beyond boxing and his best years were spent fighting for a commie regime that did not support him financially just like those old ass E.E. guys that come over here and people feel like we owe them the world because Stalin's dream never made good.
Ortiz got caught and that's a sin, so he has to pay. I don't like the idea of robbing a man of his livelihood because it makes a man dangerous. Just fine him and let him fight later like that other commie scum Povetkin. Didn't he just have a couple of fights after popping multiple times?

I don't know what to think. On one side I really want to watch the fight, so a bit pissed it's off.
On the other hand, I don't condone cheating but also realise the ones who don't get caught don't really mean they are clean either.

You must have limited interaction with the real world? One doesnt need to take or be on meds 24/7. you take medication to keep your body stable, that doesnt mean he cant take his meds he still has to.

o_Of course it would become life threatening if he doesnt take them..that has nothing to do with boxing .

My father takes blood pressure meds and still works out AT AGE 75 hes not going to die bc his heart rate goes up though . On top of that pro athletes are the most watched over...get a grip your all over the place on here spewing nonsense...:duh

The "doctor" said his condition is life threatening. I didn't. He did.

Dude needs to be retired before he dies in the ring. The stress is clearly too much for him.

Oh **** off with your snide tone. Yes, it's just being used as a masking agent and the doctor, or "doctor" as you say, is just playing along or whatever. Oh well.

Professional athletes use/have used PEDs. Get over it.

Wilder would have made Ortiz look like the dark skinned Danny devito on fight night. Thank god Wilder didn't baptize that man. #bombsquad

Having high blood pressure is not life threatening.

He is an old man in a young mans game though.

A "doctor" tries to say with a straight face that a fighter has a life threatening condition and BECAUSE OF THAT should be allowed to use banned substances and fight for the heavyweight title.

You can't make this kind of thing up.

Yes some professional athletes use/have used PEDs, and when they are caught they suffer the consequences. Get over it.

I don't know enough about it, apparently it was medication but even that is no excuse as far as I'm concerned.

If you've tested positive before (intentionally taken or not) then after that you'd make sure every medication you took, everything you ate or drank was 100% fine, you'd double check, triple check.

It's not that hard, they give you lists of banned substances, they have phone numbers you can ring, talk to somebody and check.

It's your career, reputation and future at stake, there really are no excuses.

The 2nd most popular masking agent of all time!

The chances of singling out that medication are higher than 0.01%, compound that chance with Luis Ortiz PED history & you have a 99.99% probability on why that drug was used
