Ok how about instead of making this PPV make this fight available on NON PPV. See if Floyd accepts this.

Floyd will make it competitive......that boy has skills.:yep. But we are getting two really big fights by not making the one between Pac and Floyd.

Floyd made it clear in his interview with Costas that he will not consider a 50/50 deal. As a matter of fact, he sounded like him offering Pac 40 mil guaranteed with no PPV and Floyd getting the rest (maybe 100 mil) was reasonable. Floyd is still ducking Pac.

Agreed. The question was about Manny. So, I just gave my opinion from that perspective. But, your points make sense.

People shouldn't really care about how much each fighter is earning but it's a different thing when thr purse issue hinders the fight to happen

I just don't understand why *****s are defending floyd on this one.
Are these guys in love with floyd enough to blind them from thinking straight?
Do they get any money from this?

    What!?

You could read between the lines in the Costas-interview what the real reason is that the fight won't happen.
Floyd said that the most important thing is his health and that other fighters have taken fights they shouldn't.
He is afraid that Pacquiao could hurt him. When Costas brought up the issue Floyd was studdering, his facial expression was changing, and he tried to evade that question.
Floyd is scared of Pacquiao, it's a fact.

All he does is trying to trick the public into thinking he actually wants the fight and it's Manny that is avoiding him, but lets be real.
40 Million for Pacquiao is a joke, Floyd knows Pac's team would never accept such an offer.
All in all the fight has the potential to generate 150, maybe even 200 Million.
Pac is a huge ppv-sensation himself, so there is no way he will ever accept such a lowball-offer, he is no Ortiz or Cotto, he doesn't need Mayweather to generate big ppv-numbers. Floyd knows that.

Asking the p4p#1 and fighter of the decade to take a 25-75 type of deal is audacious, it's a joke. Pac doesn't need to bow down to Floyd like all the other guys out there, and he shouldn't.

Floyd likes to brag about how he is the best paid athlete in the world, but guess what: History will only remember him as the 2nd best boxer of his generation and as a coward that was too afraid to face his ultimate challenge.
He legitimates his gutlessness by pointing out that he doesn't care what people think of him, he thereby tries to solve his cognitive dissonance, but in the end he can't run away from himself. He does care what people think about him, every human being does.
He knows that Manny Pacquiao poses a legitimate threat to his dominance, his self-perception, and his health.
He couldn't live with himself if Pacquiao beats him because his whole world and his self-concept would crumble around him.
His whole identity is build around the idea that he is the greatest, that nobody can harm or beat him.
That self-concept and his identity are worth more to him than all the millions he could make fighting Pacquiao.
Lets be real, in the dimensions Mayweather is earning the 35-45 million he could make more against Pacquiao compared to some other opponent doesn't mean that much.

It's not about the money. It's about the fact that one man couldn't cope mentally with the danger of fighting the one guy that possibly could beat him.

won't matter what Manny does, Floyd will not accept it. If Manny accepted 40 out of 60, Floyd would press for blood tests and make it so that Manny could not accept.

In that case floyd should just retire from the sport.

Facebook, tweeter and slandering and not accepting a fair split instead offering an offer with no upside on the PPV as if like the opponent isn't an PPV star himself.

    You ****ing kidding me?

exactly. He wants to handpick his opponents and in 20 years say how everyone knows he is the best ever-without ever going for the hard fights to prove he was the best fighter ever.
