I just watched the Maidana/Mayweather fight 3 days ago and 90% of Maidana's punches were illegal back of the head punches and he did it with no shame.

Should he be penalized next fight for hitting behind the head? If I was Mayweather I would have low blowed him and hit him in the back of the head.

While he definitely should be penalized for illegal blows, if Maidana isn't allowed to fight his usual smothering, ugly and messy fight he has no chance in hell.

Head shots with pillows? This will be a chidren's pillow fight.........................Void cheats and is still running from Pac. Void should fight Golovkin at 154, but he won't, Void is a woman beater.............

It was one of the dirtier main events for a major PPV in quite some time all because of Maidana. Like Scar said, if Maidana gets properly warned, separated, and penalized as he should have in the first by most refs, he won't be able to get off his volume and make the rounds seem close.

the back of the head was not THAT BAD (and i say that as a floyd fan) sure plenty fell on the back of the head but floyd was kinda leaning into him at times semi leaving it open.

the muay thai knees and blatent lowblows need to be penalised tho... seriously i cant understand how anyone enjoyed watching that fight? i love watching floyd work but maidana was just so dirty and then floyd started with his elbow and it was just like ZZZZZ this is not boxing..

ortiz and other fighters tried to bully mayweather and floyd still looked great but maidana took that dirty **** to a new level.

i want the next ref to be strict as hell TO BOTH FIGHTERS

I want to see as much dirty stuff as possible... low blows, headbutts, elbows, knees, rabbit punches, slapping.

Back of the head shots? When you're facing an opponent that stays 90% of the time with his back turned to you, it's inevitable that the shots will land on the side of the head.

This is really just another lame tactic by Pedjr, he counts on the fact that you will throw punches only on one side, and focuses on those punches.

If Pedjr had the balls to fight facing his opponent, instead of turned away ready to run and fold, all the punches would be clear.

Well, not exactly, because Unabledana still haven't learned to punch straight, and all he can do is launch sloppy slaps.

Slaps that cannot even put down Amir Mother****ing Khan, by the way.

So the only thing you should be whining about is why the fvck did Scaredweather rematch that bum.

Oh, and you wanna talk about the noble art of elbowing peoples in the face?

    I LOVED the fight.

Maidana had no fear or respect for Mayweather and this is what made it such a good fight.

2nd time around its going to be such a different fight.

Mayweather will be using his feat a LOT more, digging to the body from Round 1, and i believe the ref will be a lot more strict.

Who knows we might even see a few dirty moves from Floyd (less subtle to his usual underhand tactics)

I am very excited for this one.

No doubt the ref will be instructed to look after mayweather so maidana will lose two points during this fight

This, I hope they have another like Weeks, with maybe a TAD bit more interference. He needs the inside work for it to be a good fight.

His inside, rough 'em up style is fine. It's the low blows and rabbit punches that's a problem to me. Same for Floyd, if he uses an elbow, he should be penalized. Maidana should've received several warnings and at least 1 point deduction in that fight.

So Maidana using illegal shots is your preception of "having no fear" and trying hard? lol...I knew you all thought that I just wanted to see somebody say it.

Bias thread, Floyd is a "dirty" fighter but just conceals it better. Its a fight. Like Ricky Hatton said "He's very tricky,he uses a lot of elbows and forearms. But like Ive always said, its not a tickling contest"
