Margarito held the WBO title for years. To suggest someone fighting on that level for that long didn't know the difference between having his gloves loaded versus legal wraps is not in any realm of possibility that's worth considering.

Ignorance is not a fair defense for someone fighting on this level for so long.

What measure shall we use to determine whether he has learned his lesson? He could have killed Mosley with his loaded gloves, assuming his slow, ponderous punches, were able to land.

I agree ignorance is not a fair defense, However have you ever in your life had about 5 yards of gauze folded to form a knuckle pad on your hand?

Those inserts they have shown you I can tell you right now, I wouldnt have noticed, they were tucked in the middle of those pads, and they were the same size and shape of a stick of gum.

They were that small, and being in the middle of four or five yards of gauze its going to be almost impossible to feel that.

Do you even know what five yards looks like? imagine that folded into a knuckle pad, thats alot of ****ing gauze dude.

I've never fought on a world class level, and as far as I know you haven't either. So, I likely wouldn't know and I wouldn't expect you to either. That said, I WOULD expect anyone on a world class level to know exactly what was going on with their wraps.

Beyond that, the same old argument which I obviously cannot prove retroactively... which is that there is no way this was the first time the Margarito camp attempted such tactics. Why start cheating against a supposedly washed up and aged Mosley and not with young lions like Cotto and Williams? I find the, "It was the first time!" thesis impossible to swallow. Surely this was one of many. Do you not at least find it suspicious that this would be the very first time they would try to cheat?

its impossible for you to beleive and accept as the truth and rightfully so he was caught red handed.
However its not impossible~ thats my point.
And you dont need to fight on a world class level to know what its like when your hands are being wrapped, Amateur boxing requires gauze just as well as the pros do, and like I said I know for a fact that if something like that was snuck into a pre made gauze pad, at that size and shape I would not have felt it at all...

However I would wonder why my trainer had the pads ready to go, I would wonder why my trainer isnt using new gauze... Those are some serious questions Margarito should be asking... if he is really not guilty...

Like I said before the DA was quick to jump on this and suddenly is no longer involved why?

Def not, the sport can not allow someone that loads his gloves and endangers the lifes of his opponents to get away with a simple slap on the wrist.

Any argument about Margo knowing his gloves were loaded could hold true as to Mosley knowing he was taking steroids, or whatever it was BALCO gave him.

End of story. As a boxer you should know what's going into your gloves. As an athlete, you should know what's going into your body.

It's all the same at the end of the day. Only difference is, Mosley has admitted it, and received no punishment. Bit like Agassi really isn't it?

Yeah, I did it, but I didn't know. Can you let me off please?
Yeah, sure, no worries, you're a good bloke.

 Freddy Roach even said he didn't believe Margarita....you keep saying
Roach said Margarita is a standup guy and he believed him.... that is completely untrue....I rewatched the video an Roach said he should be banned for life that he didn't believe Margarita !!!!

I'm sure Margarita isn't paying you to endlessly defend him, at least get the facts correct !!!

He should be able to fight again but this time his gloves and wraps needs to be check. I think a camera man needs to be there and show the world when his hands is being wrapped.
