Hell No, i would love to see him later on against Angulo or Mosley at 154, wouldn't mind seeing him make Cotto his ***** once again, just for these butt hurt Cottos fans to STFU once and for all. :yep
Thats the whole friggin point the lab that tested the pad told the truth No one doing the testing lied. The only person than lied was Pinnochio Richardson when he claimed at first that plastic inserts fell out of the wrap ROFL Why is the hand creme theory moot??? because it doesnt suit your argument??? Believe me if there was ONE iota of proof Margarito tried to load his gloves he'd be in jail and banned for life now That harmless pad was technically illegal hence the ridiculous ban but in no way was it attempting to load the gloves
Yes, he should be banned for life. I don't approve of cheating in any form, but having loaded gloves constitutes criminal assault. By the way, the defamation lawsuit theory is bull****. If I get convicted of **** and you call me a ******, I can't turn around and sue you for defamation. :nut Also, a pro fighter will know what's in his wraps. In my brief and mediocre sparring career, I could tell the difference between the guys who did my wraps. And if the plaster didn't work, why do people keep using it to cheat? "Last September in South Africa, Edward Mpofu was found to have his fists encased in plaster of Paris after losing a featherweight bout to Thanduxolo Dyani. The winner went to hospital, the loser and his trainer, Eugene Khanyile, fled the scene. “I was wondering why every time he hit, it was like I was being hit by a stone,” Dyani said. Mpofu was banned for life and Khanyile given a ten-year suspension." Regardless of what anyone argues here, the boxing community — including other fighters — has decided he's guilty and his reputation is ruined forever.
margarito has never been tried lol what they would never stand up in a court of law they'd be laughed out of court margarito was railroaded end of story
He had TRACES of elements found in Plaster or Paris (also found in a ton of things)...there were many people who handled them...the CSAC handled this VERY badly and questionably ....and he did his time. I am not going to support him like I once did....but he did his time.
The excuse-making is embarrassing. I'm not saying there's enough to justify him getting rung up for assault, but obviously he cheated and he was banned accordingly. On what basis was he railroaded? Richardson spotted the pad, forced them to remove the other glove despite Cap's rejections, they seized them and sent them to the Dept of Justice, and ultimately the suspension came down from the CSAC. Pretty much, everyone in the world thinks he was attempting to cheat and that he probably cheated in at least the Cotto fight as well, except for Margarito fans.
Then why the denials? Why did his trainer go into freak-out mode when Richardson spotted the problem with the first wrap? Why was he using old wraps in the first place? There's so much smoke, there has to be fire. And if calcium and sulfur were so common, why did he get suspended? It's sad, because I flew to Vegas for the Margo/Cotto fight and cheered my ass off for Margo. **** him.
And he did his time from that ban. Even you have to admit the CSAC handled this investigation in a very amateur fashion. Everyone MIGHT think he cheated....but so what? Everyone now seems to think Pac is a cheat. This "everyone" you speak with gets dumber as it grows.
Its a moot point because its a bail out excuse for Margorito...And for you to shag Nazim for busting Margorito cheating ass is rather pointless...Why are blaming Nazim for Margorito trying to cheat...Its his ****ing job to look after his fighter! Show me were he had no intentions on loading his gloves...If thats the case...he would have never stuffed the gauze under his hand wraps! I know you dont honestly believe that crap do ya???
Why wouldn't he freak out? You understand that situation...ANYONE in that position, no matter how innocent or guilty, would be put off. Do you understand what circumstantial evidence is?
His stans cant seem to understand that...They're blaming everybody else but the douchebag who actually cheated...I'm with ya...**** Margorito! These dudes making excuses for him are out of thier minds!:good
It should have been an automatic lifetime ban. The CSAC is a mess, no doubt, but that doesn't explain the essential facts: Used wraps, visibly inappropriate matter, positive tests for calcium and sulphur, suspicious behavior by responsible parties (changing stories, etc.), Margarito gets dominated and KTFO by an aging fighter he was supposed to beat. No, not everyone thinks Pac cheated. Most people think he didn't, and at any rate there's nothing to support that he has. I'm not one to defend popular opinion generally, but when other fighters who don't appear to have an axe to grind come out and rail on another fighter, that's meaningful. At the minimum, it makes the "Margarito didn't know" argument look silly. He knew.
Testing positive for primary elements of plaster of paris on a wrap that was illegal by definition even without the plaster is more than circumstantial evidence. There are too many pieces to this story that add up wrong for Antonio. I'd hate to think he's innocent at this point, but it's difficult for me to imagine that he is.
