Lifetime ban over getting caught BEFORE? Naa...the punishment MUST match the crime whether you agree or not. Hey, I can try to spin so called "facts" too...but what's the point? I prefer NOT lying to myself.

:patsch Give it up already...The proof is out...what more do you need?

Just face it...Margorito is a cheating piece of ****! You cant seem to come to terms with that!:-(

No other boxer has had these so called " old gauze " stuffed under their hand wraps and know all of sudden you want fans to think Margorito wasnt loading his gloves?? Are you seriously trying to imply this???

Margarito's always been a bit of a non-issue to me, despite the Floyd haters who jumped on his bandwagons for a time.

So whatever. Let him come back (clean, though) or ban him for life.

    Means nothing to me.

Margarito should absolutely be banned for life. What he did was inexcusable. Period.

No, because as stated before, they were TRACE amounts found in many other household items. Some of you guys make it sound like there was a small "chunk" there all hard an ****. But it's due to those elements being found elsewhere (and being minuscule) that keeps him from a lifetime ban IMHO.

    To each his own...

:bbbMy opinion is based on the Luis Resto/Panama Lewis situation, it took over 30 years for the truth to come out, Luis Resto got what was coming to him, Margarito has been suspended for a year "BIG DEAL" while in Mexico he was still able to make money off his name on many TV shows, he has not paid for his crime, he is still lying about the wraps and the fact that he did not know.............no he should be banned for life

Fact: He was caught by an opposing trainer using an illegal wrap (even without substances) that tested positive for calcium and sulpher, essential and primary ingredients of plaster of paris.

That's god damn well enough for me to malign him.

That's obviously because you WANT to believe that. Rational people do not make up their minds on pieces of info...rather then all of it. You choose to ignore other bits of info for some reason.

:patsch I love how you try to blame Nazim for what he saw!

And to prove you wrong...Nazim has been pretty constistant with his story so what are you talking about?

Try making sense next time and stop trying to pass you bias opinion as facts!

So please tell me who in the hell Nazim has flip flopped his story when he was pretty much constistent with his interviews? See this is what I'm talking about...you blame everybody else but Margorito!:verysad

Attempted murder isn't the same as murder, but it's still a felony and results in significant jail time. You don't get sentenced to community service.

And there's a different standard in play. Boxing isn't a right, it isn't related to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He committed an unforgivable crime in his sport (sort of like track athletes who dope) and is forever ruined by it.

He can seek out a job like the rest of us, but he has shown that he isn't worthy of warrior status in boxing, no matter how good his chin was.

Understood...but we are not talking attempted murder here.

Again...all that was PROVEN was trace amounts were found that are also found is many other items. Based on that, one year was acceptable.
