Actually Resto was also banned for at least one year (same as Margarito) but was denied year after year when he applied to get his license back. He just got approved to work in a corner as a trainer. Hopefully that set a precedent and Margarito will be banned year after year as well.

Banned for life is my vote. We don't want tomato cans let alone cheating ones who claim to be 100% pride over money drawing some of the most ******ed pathetic clueless "boxing" fans I have ever EVER seen. Peanuts for glory yet as soon as he scored the first major win of his entire career against someone half his size with concrete in his gloves he was 110% pro business.

It's also nice to see that the poll is climbing in the right direction.

Everyone who voted he should get a second chance cause of Shane,Roy and Toney got one is crazy. Tell you what, let me take some form of anabolic steroids or EPO then put the gloves on and punch you in the face 10 times for a million dollars. Then after your face heel,I'll come back with a clean system but put plaster in my gloves and give you 10 more head shots for a million dollars. Now,when i come back next time I'm gonna ask you which way do you to make your next million. Pills or Plaster.:nut

This proves what, smartass? Even the great Nazim Richardson - the man who discovered the extra gauze - said the photo doesn't prove anything. People punch with their hands, wraps can be damaged even through the gloves in a wild punching fight, boo hoo. It's your (and some dumb journalists) word against Nazim, guess which one worth nothing.

What part of Margarito never was proved using a hammer whereas Mosley, Toney and Jones went HULK and were caught doing so you don't understand?

Try this: there's a difference between someone attempting to **** your girlfriend and someone actually going Roman Polanski on her. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE? Jesus.

I'm undecided. I'd like to seee him fight again but what he did was inexcusable, people can get permenant damage or even killed from that ****.

Didn't Resto and Panama Lewis get done for assault and use of a dangerous weapon for this?

**** it, he should be banned, a year off is definitely not enough. This is more serious that steroid use, it is assault, pure and simple.

There may not be any proof that he'd actually managed to use it in the ring before but the simple fact that he was willing to is enough for me.

as of now, no. i thought no one actually knew what the pad was? there were traces of calcium and sodium right? which are also found in plaster and are also found in normal household products. in fact, even water. what luis resto and panama lewis did were completely different things. boxing fans jump the gun way too quickly.

Actually this was not the opinion of a journalist; on HBO's documentary they had experts who examined the photos and they described it as "concrete evidence". This is going to be taken into account when Margarito applies for his license so we'll se how concrete then.

First the blood stain (which should not be inside of the gloves) is in the exact same spot of the blood stain on the insert taken from Margarito's wrap during the Mosley fight. Second, the image shows that Margarito punched a hole through the leather glove surrounding his wraps. That is nearly impossible, any who has ever boxed can look at those photos and clearly see that there was something going on with those wraps.

To me attempting to do something and actually doing it doesn't make much difference as far as I think punishment is concerned.

If someone attempts to murder someone but misses does it make him a better person than the guy who gets the bullet on target? In my eyes it's the same ****, that guy tried to shoot the other guy just like Margarito tried to plaster up his wraps. Margarito's no less of a cheater just because he got caught before the fight.
