since the handwraps scandal he hasn't achieved anything of any note.

infact he has been twatted by mosley and outpointed by pacman. it is obvious he has nothing left in a competitive faculty.

he is now just a walking punch bag with the method of victory only determined by how many punches he can take. he quite rightly is miles away from any top 15 list and i really nthink he shoould call it a day.

Mosley defeat - He was poorly conditioned and mentally all over the place. From a terrible training camp to being caught with his hands in the cookie jar, things couldn't have been worse for Tony.

Pacquiao defeat - He was outclassed by a man who will go down as one of the greatest fighters to have ever lived. He also showed tremendous heart in the process - something which no other fighter in the world could match.

Conclusion - The above two aren't enough for me to declare him as 'shot'. I still think he can be a formidable opponent for any of the other 154 pounders. Bring on a Cotto or Mosley re-match!

pac and mosley were always going to be bad style match ups for him, i think he is top 15 welter or jmiddle.
he will still be a hard test for anyone in those divisions imo, but hes best does seem to be behind him so if hes well enough off maybe he should retire.
but hes still a very solid fighter as far as i can see

No, if anything Cotto should retire first.

i hope he retires. his unbelievable chin and heart will do him a great disservice if he keeps on fighting. he made enough money to live a comfortable life. making a few more bucks aint worth your brains tony.

I think people read too much into the hand wrap scandal. Margo beat Cotto down cause Cotto gave him a stationary target to chip away round by round, due to Cotto's questionable stamina, stamina that for me, was in question in previous fights against Mosley and N'Dou.

I think Mosley beat him up cause Mosley has terrific power, has a viscous body attack, and cause Margo takes punches for fun, oh, and cause Mosley was allowed to hold him excessively after getting off to save his stamina from being exploited.

He was, like other aggressive fighters who proceeded him, tailor made for Pac's sharp shooting style, but yeah, Margo should think about retiring, he has shipped some punishment recently, too much.

If you think that Mosley is a viable opponent, why shouldn't Pac fight him? :huh

Oh that's right, Roach says he's too good for Manny. :-(

Agree, but from having seen the pictures, it just seems to me that thing might of been blown out of proportion. I mean if the commission is watching your hands being wrapped, how incriminating can the wraps be?

If Margs has a successful surgery and recovery, he oughta keep fighting. No shame in losing to the worlds best p4p fighter. There are a ton of viable opponents for him out there. Cotto2 and JCCjr come to mind. Also wouldnt mind seeing him against pbf.

Yes, for his own health he should retire. There is no one he can beat of note from 147-154.

And any talk of a Mosley rematch is satanic. Margo was NEVER going to beat Mosley. It's simply a matter of style.

And I like how everyone buys the excuses for the Mosley loss. Even if they were true, whose fault is it that he was weight drained and got caught cheating?

And Mosley has so many distractions leading up to that fight, it was a surprise he performed as well as he did.
