Should margo retire?

Pacquiao doesn't need Mayweather. Pacquiao fighting Mayweather is just icing on his solid legacy. He has been fighting bigger men. Fought in 8 divisions. 4 lineal titles... etc. Compared to Mayweather that most fans are questioning because of his "ducking" impulses and attitude.

I gotta agree with that guy though. I'm not trying too deminish Mosley's win against Margarito but Margarito looks like he was spacing out during the Mosley fight. Margarito lost his mentally as a fighter during the fight. And if you compared Margarito's condition compare to when he fought Pacquiao, Margarito looks better. :deal

 

Good, good point. I think the Margarito & Pacquiao fights(especially the Marg fight) toke alot out of Cotto but he's not shot just past-prime. Too many other situations to name aswell. If an undefeated fighter loses then he's a hypejob,etc I can go on.

 

I dont think he is shot.He gave Pac a decent fight.Not as good as Marquez but better than most have given.I think he should fight again before making a decision on retirement.

Do you think at all its possible that his style of fighting and the wars he has been through may have finally caught up to him? I remember after watching the Cotto fight, something told me that neither guy would really be the same after a fight like that.... and being that this is boxing obviously in the real world that theory too is possible.
The broken eye socket, was a clear sign for Roach that Oscar was all done, that his body was starting to shut down that basicly he didnt have much left.
Margarito sufferd a broken eye socket as well... perhaps these are the signs, But honestly I dont think he is shot, he may be on the downslide big time though.

 

Hope so. Though I wouldn't mind watching him call out another small opponent and still lose.

 

Not really good, he still went life and death against smaller opponents with concrete in his gloves. If he had any confidence in his ability he wouldn't have cheated and his trainer wouldn't have encouraged it.
