    shoud he?

I really like Skeltons 'roughhouse' style and I think he could beat the clumsy Peter just by getting up close, Sam Peter is ranked highly with most major sanctioning bodies and is one of the easiest ways though to a major title bar someone like John Ruiz

Rogan v Skelton was mentioned after Rogan's win over Audley, That was assuming Skelton beat Vidoz and now he has so the fight should be made.

I think Skelton could beat Peter.

This isn't a kneejerk reaction either - Peter's main weapon is his power, Skelton's chin would more than likely take it out of the equation.

Though Peter does like a brawl - Skelton probably wouldn't have all that much joy trying to outbox him (1. because he ain't really like that and 2. the klitschko's are a level above everyone else).

Interesting fight, one that could go either way - I would like to see it happen.

But not see it, if you get me ;)

Good shout regarding Ruiz - he seems to have photos of some top dog at the WBA in a compromising position.........

Peter would beat Skelton in my opinion. This was a good win but lets not get carried away. I wish him the best and I'd like to see him get a title shot - but I don't think he beats Peter.

Peter against Skelton would be one of the worst fights in the history of boxing and I do not say that lightly.

Both slow as a sloth. Neither has much if any skill, especially Peter. Ghastly rabbit punching and hugging. Probably both at once.

Definitely one to close the curtains if its in your yard.

This would be a VERY interesting fight. Neither man has exemplary boxing skills and i imagine this would be a crude foul fest. Its been proven that Skelton has a sound chin. Peter would be on his chest all night. A mentally weak fighter like Peter would capitulate well inside of 10 rounds.

    Hmmm.......

Interesting points - but Skelton isn't Vitali Klitschko is he?

Peter does lack mental strength, even the scenes at the pre-fight presser were an insight, and in truth completely laughable.

This is true. But watch how Peter will unravel once he eats a few rabbit punches. Thats Skeltons speciality. Also Skelton is physically stronger in my opinion than Peter and has a very crude and roughhousing style. Its a certainty that he WILL eat leather. I think i would tune in to watch this one. Ironic really :dead

Skelton is physically stronger and will have a small height (and probably reach) advantage as well.

He carries a 17 1/2st frame much better rather than looking like someone who hasn't missed many lunches.

Another thing though - is Peter that big a puncher anyway?

He has about 75% KO, but so do Danny Williams, Ricky Hatton and Calzaghe, none are considered 'big' punchers.

Has Peter ever KO'd a genuine top class fighter with a decent beard?

Skelton is far too good for the fat ***** ass Peter. After his last lethargic effort where he looked like he had been suffering from hypothyroidism for years and deprived of thyroxine, fat peter can **** off for good. He deserves no more chances. Not only is a fat plodder but he is a cheating fat ******* as well.

Skelton would soon get pissed off with peters punches to the back of the head and suplex the mofo into Lagos.

Skelton could concievably beat him but I cannot bring myself to watch another 12 rounds of holding , shoving , falling against the ropes , headbutts , wrestling and terrible punch technique.

    I couldnt take it !
