i know it would only be against botha or holyfield, but at least it would give him some badly needed rounds.

It doesnt even look like Meehan is fighting anymore, his last fight is well over a year ago. Any fight is a step in the right direction.

For his sake I hope he can earn some more dollars fighting but my wish is for a South Pacific up and comer to blast old fellas like Meehan out of the water and get some cred on the international scene.

Don't know if its fallen through or not but wasn't he supposed to fight Chagaev in an eliminator?

For some reason when i think of Meehan i just picture him getting absolutely blasted by HASBEEN Rahman..Oh and having Shannon noll as part of his entourage 4 the bout.

The crazy thing is Rahman looked unstoppable that night...

Don't think any of Botha or Holyfield would want this bout.

It would be nice as a stay busy fight if Meehan would fight Wilson, Hoppa, for the aussie belt. He can win this fight without many problems and get his name on the map once again.

Meehan gotta go for Tua or Chagaev/Boytsov in some kind of eliminator.

he doesn't need to go in eliminator, he is up the top already.

he just should be fighting somebody who will give him some rounds.

i don't know why he just doesn't fight anybody, fight darchinyan, he'll have a dig.

Meehan mustnt be to serious..he hasnt been active for ages..Hes waiting around for a world title shot at 37???

    Dont make sense to me...

If i was him i would just fight against the who's who of oz boxing and make some decent cash doing it..Obviously not U.S like cash but the money he could make here would beat sitting around earning nothing..

Depending on his availability, I would not be suprised if he was matched with Shane Cameron in the next 12 months.

Signing with Don King side tracked and nulled his career. Calling King a promoter is wrong. The man is nothing more than an investor. Meehan is a small investment with little return for King on PPv's etc. Hence Meehan is contantly reshuffled to allow others to be #1 or #2 contender, $$$$ in Kings Court.

Any fight Kali can get is better than whats been going on.

yes i think every aussie fan just wants to see him in the ring fighting.

he may not be a superstar but he is the best we've got atm(although i think its fair to say that he is representing aussie, fiji and nz).

he has a rough chance of still becoming world champ and most people believe it is owed to him after the brewster fight.

but if he keeps reasonably busy even against ordinary opponents at least it will help him stay sharp if he gets his shot.

although if recent history is any guide, meehan won't get a title shot against anyone no matter whether he is ranked no.1 again or is named mandatory challenger. i'm sure the powers that be will get around it again and continually shaft meehan.
