I am fan of Miguel Cotto and i have watched his carrer from the beginning and well im dissapointent for his lost tonight but there is no shame as he lost to one of the best fighters in the world. I think that he doesnt have nothing to prove and he should considered retirement for his health and own good. I have to admit that my expectentions on Cotto were very high because i was hoping Cotto one day could reach a higher level but now im worry about his health. What you guys think?

No, Hell no! Pac won the fight but Cotto fought back, a lot more than Haye did.

Void will refuse to fight Pac again. Void will want his referee, judges, venue, commentators, etc., as usual, but if he gets his way, he will still refuse. Void wants to fight Christy Martin and his fans are foolish enough to buy it!

I dont see really many options for Cotto right now, he got to the top and hes been stop. I would say retire, you make good money and hes still healty.

It's up to Cotto to decide. He can still win a title if he can overcome this loss.

The rode to redemption goes through Antonio Margarito. If he wins, rematch Mosely. Hell no, he shouldn't retire.

Cotto is 29 years old, he can still rematch Mosley, fight Betro, fight Williams, go up to 154.....there is no reason for him to retire right now

Absolutely not. He looked terrific early tonight. He just got hit with Pac's speed. No shame in that.

He was moving as well as I've ever seen him early, was in tremendous shape and fought smart. He just got beat by an all-timer, no shame there.

Cotto should not retire.... He looked damn good tonight, Pac the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world was just a bit better.

I think he should retire, he's done. He's taking too much punishment. Teddy Atlas was right, he's damaged goods. He's going to be hurt real bad if he keeps fighting.

    Why should he?
he has allways faced the best, and sometimes you loose..I still haven´t watched the fight, but he don´t look old, weak or slow IMO.It´s no shame to loose to the p4p no1 in the world...He can still play a major role in upcomming fights with Mosley,Rematch margo,Williams,Even Hatton could be a fun fight to watch,IMO.
    So no,he should not retire..he´s a champ,and he will come back,for sure.

He might give Mayweather some trouble i think...in fact he could win a fight vs. Mayweather IMO. IF he can come up with a perfect gameplan and be at 100%,then it´s a fight he could do very well in,IMO.

I'm glad to see the poll where it's at. Losing to Pac is no big deal. Pac is the greatest of twenty years. Be cool with it, Cotto. You'll still be the best welter.
