I've always favored a boxing "seniors tour" or "old timers league" where these older, retired or semi-retired fighters face each other. It would be great to see Holyfield and Tyson square off, or Tyson facing Lewis in a rematch, or Ruddock going up against these guys? The fans would love to see these matches take place, so it would undoubtedly sell. Some promoter should try to put it together.

They've done this sort of thing in tennis. Some people love it. I am sure it is fun for the former players but most of them are overweight and slow. A good college player would beat any of them.

What would be better would be for these guys to put together a "tour" where people can pay to come have a beer with some of these ex-greats. I think a lot of people just want to meet them, get their autograph, hear some of their stories and get to know them a little bit. Boxing is too tough a sport for old-timers. Not only that but most old boxers have mellowed so much. The starch has been taken out of them by so many brawls. They would rather reminisce.

Yes they should do an old timers prize fighter all on the same night.

    Min criteria: 44 years old.

    Quarter finals
    Semi finals
    Finals

    Tyson
    Holyfield
    Bowe
    Ruddock
Lewis - Doubt he participate to rich
    Golota
    McCall
    Moorer

    Quarter finals: Min Prize $750,000 x 4

    Semi Finals: $1.5 million x 2

    Finals: Runner UP: $3 million x 1

    Winner: $6 million x 1

    Total pot: $15 million

I guess this would have to be held where they get generate a lot of money and charge $500-$2,000 a ticket.

all boxers would have to turn up in good shape and take it serious

concerns: majority of the above boxers would agree with the possible exception to Lewis and Tyson.
Lewis to wealthy to risk only turning up for 750k, and get a loss on the record
unless this tournament didn't count of your boxing record but prizefighters are usually sanctioned as professional fights.

Tysons specialty was getting inside and destroying large top heavyweights in 2 rounds or less. That was his natural gift, right? So he'd still KO either Klitschko in 30 seconds flat. Please ignore his actual fights with top ten big tall heavyweights when considering my point of view. Part of being a major Tyson nut hugger is the ability to ignore Tyson vs. Green Smith tucker Douglas Ruddock Lewis. Tyson the giant slayer is a faith based religion, and if you bring up facts that dispute this you are a bigot or something.

Yes he did, but the point is that Mike could not KO and often struggled against decent, larger men. People who claim prime Mike would stroll across the ring and KO Lewis or K2 in a round or two are obviously suffering from selective amnesia, dementia or some sort of religiously based Tyson nut-huggery. That's my sarcastic point. Btw, yes Mike was a great fighter and yes he should stay retired.

I never thought he'd beat Lewis cos he was way way past it but the beating he took - the guy should have been out way earlier - proved to me Tyson was one tough dude. 80s Tyson vs 90s Lewis wound have been amazing.

Would I like to see a 51 year old Holyfield fights a 47 year old Tyson?

Seriously? WTF for? To see how much they could damage their aging brains?

Holyfield would take it pretty easily anyway, he was still competitive not long ago.

As a serious drug addict, Tyson would not be able to go through drug testing.
