that has nothing to do with anything man..ur way off..i was only saying that we are talking "official rankings" so u have to look at the whole picture...

We aren't talking who we think is good between me and u..we talking about "official rankings" here...

Btw i know about rankings and how bias they can be...im not a part time boxing fan i know my ****

the guy said floyd hadn't beat any "top ranked" fighters.....so i showed him he had beaten "top ranked" fighters plus pointed out there ranking and whom they were...thanks

but "official" rankings don't exist for boxing.People hold The Ring in regards as official but when it comes down to it,there isn't an official body that people can just go to and have matter of factness to it.It's not like baseball or football where its wins vs losses, otherwise the IBO would be the **** right now since all their **** is computerized.

I realize we aren't talking about who we feel should still be 1 or not.I agree with Mayweather being number 1 but you were against Manny having been over Shane. But as you said,it's not about me and you. It's about what the boxing writers The Ring pulls together and have them talk about rankings. So it's about who THEY feel is number 1.They talk about it just as we do now,but their opinions matter to The Ring so that's how they pick their rankings.Write a letter or something if it bugs you that badly but they have reasoning behind everything they do unlike the 4 major sanctioners.

Still though, Cotto was not a good enough win to have put Pac over Mosley. Yes Cotto beat Mosley but in a very close match. However Shane ktfo of Margarito who ktfo of Cotto who beat Shane. See, the Shane element is the strongest element.

Yes, because Mosley should have already been holding it. They ****ed that up last year. They know it.

CBZ had Shane as the lineal champ. Many felt that was for the lineal title, abc crap and sanctioning fees and even Ring aside. I don't have a strong opinion on it either way.

Ring will give this belt to the winner of the pac-pbf fight and rightfully so. It shouldn't be any other way.

The Ring rules state that in some instances they will make vacant titles available for 1 and 3, actually.

Nobody can claim to be Welterweight Champion if he has not beat Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao is a crucial contender in the rankings. Floyd can't say he's Welterweight Champ until he beats Manny.

Same for Manny. He has to beat Mayweather to be the King.

Ring claims exceptions could be made between 1 and 3 if something is awry with 1 and 2.

When Roach claimed he was going for Cotto it raised bells because Mosley was the man, not Cotto. People overlooked it because it was gonna be a good scrap, some of us realized it was an attempt at an easier fight style-wise. For god's sake, Cotto's title was a vacant title and he fought freakin' Jennings for it.

Both PBF and Mosely wanted to fight Pac but the deals could not get done. so 1-3 should be ok.

Exactly. Cotto and Clottey are better welterweight wins than Marquez and Mosley anyway.
