of course he will and of course he should.

not exactly sure of the numbers without looking them up, but it muyst have been something like 10-1 in world title fights , beating all 4 current champions at his weight class, despite strippings and boxing politics and he only lost 1 time to an ATG fighter.

Hell NO - he was a hype job who got exposed by Kevin Kelly and then REALLY exposed by Barrera.

However, with the abysmally low standards of the Boxing HOF, unfortunately, it would not surprise me if he got in.

    Yeah.

People let their hate for his seemingly cocky/malicious personality blind them to the fact that he was, at his best, actually damned good. He was perhaps the hardest hitting featherweight of all time, had speed of hand and foot that was far above average (especially at bantam), and his unorthodox and tricky style was something that bemused many of the people he stepped into the ring with. He went on the slide (mentally and physically) and lost via points to a true ATG, which is no disgrace at ALL. He should be in the HOF.

What got McGuigan into the HOF was not his fighting ability and achievement .

He unified both loyalist and nationalist communities in the North aswell as those in the Republic with unionists in the North .

A lot of people are not aware what McGuigan did for this island , and think of his inclusion as what he did as a regular boxer(which most Irish people would agree wouldn't have been enough in itself for inclusion) .

Btw I think Hamed should be in , he accomplished quite a lot when you really think about it .
