No. If he beats Mosely and Pac that should do it.

A victory over Pac is way more than a victory over Cotto.

Mosley is too old. Id have full confidence in Mayweather beating him more so than i would Pac,Cotto. I wont surprised if the fight does happen though, because Shane fits the Mayweather criterea past his best etc.

If he wants to be welterweight champion again - Mayweather has to fight Mosley. If he just wants another paper title for his collection - then he shouldn't worry about Mosley.

5 losses dont mean ****, Shane currently is the welterweight champion, funny joy boys bring up the losses when it suites them

what about baldomir? he had around 10 losses
what about gatti? he had around 5 or 6 losses
what about Hoya? he had 5 losses

hell even marquez got 4 losses

so dont bring up that losses bull****.

Without a doubt they should fight.

Mosley is ranked No 1 welterweight after destroying Margarito.

If Mayweather wants to be No1 welter again he's got to fight Mosley. Simple :good
(Though that could change if Mosley fights again and loses )

Lets forget all the technicality's about Shane being classed the man at 147 because he beat Margarito, Shane is not the best fighter at 147 regardless of his win over Margarito. Margarito fought right into Shane's hands.

If you put Jermain Taylor in their with Hopkins and, its fought at a snails pace, then Taylor's stamina will not be in question and he can win the fight with his Boxing skills. However you put Taylor in with a lesser fighter who DOES test his biggest flaw (stamina) and you see the results.

Margarito gave the impression Shane has more left than he does. It was a great win for him, but he is too old to beat someone like Mayweather, it would be a pointless exercise imo, and the people clamoring for it will be the first to claim Shane was shot and that Marg just played into Shane's hands and gave a false impression of what he had left. Basically what im saying now.

I dislike Mayweather immensly, but Shane is not beating him at THIS stage of his career.

Whether Shane beats him or not is a different matter, the point is Shane DESERVES a shot.

He probably does, but do you want to see a once GREAT fighter possibly getting beaten by Mayweather when you know how much different it COULD of been in their prime ? as a Mosley fan im sure you would not be happy with that.

With His father in his corner I would say Mosley would have close to no shot at beating Floyd. With Richardson, and now that he lost Jin, he may have a shot
