In the recent wake of the PBF vs. DLH 2 fight supposedly happening, a lot of people are getting on Oscar for this fight, because he is stealing a fight between mayweather and cotto. Now do you think Oscar should stick to promoting fights and let the young guys establish thier legacy, or should he keep fighting?

Personally, I'd like to see him stick to promoting or fight either Winky Wright/Vernon Forrest at 154. No more talk about fighting Miguel Cotto and please, not another rematch with Floyd.

this poll is misleading.....first the title of the thread asks....

"should oscar stay out of the ring?"

    then...the poll question asks....

    "should oscar fight on?"

i demand a recount. this is bullshyt.

Cotto will get his shot at Mayweather (if he keeps undefeated), Mayweather knows he can beat Cotto, to be honest the De La Hoya doesn't make sense to me just another exhibition match that draws the non boxing fan in, but I dont see the fight being taken away from Cotto.

But can Cotto stay undefeated, Mayweather, Cotto, Hatton, these guys are 140 fighters doing there thing at the WW level, none of them I can see taking on the natural WW's cause they know they gonna get hurt, Cotto is in a bit of a rut, what fight can he get cause I see Maragrito, Williams, Cintron beating Cotto, maybe Clottey, maybe even Vivian Harris who is moving up to 147 now, although I hear Gomez being mentioned as well, I dunno why Cotto gets stick if he fights Gomez cause its a fight he can win and he can still look forward to Mayweather.

Its a shame though that Oscar just picks the best fights as he pleases.

He does not deserve a real big fight and so he might as well get out since the biggest fights are all he cares about.

He needs to either earn his ranking or get out because its messing it up for the fans and the more interesting fighters.

hellllll naw, he needs to keep his big fight losing arse out of the ring. The only reason he's popular is b/c he speaks softly and is the most non-threatening fighter of our generation. he needs to move out of the way & make room for the next generation of latin american warriors.

Id like to see him try and clean up his own division and only after that does he get a chance to try and cherry pick again.

Why shouldn't he fight on. He just fought a very close fight with the P4P best, obviously he can still do it. He has never sustained real damage in his career and the only time he's been 'counted out' was by a body punch. If you have a problem with him fighting.....don't buy his fights.

No I don't think so. What he SHOULD do though is determine if he wants to fight or promote. Do one or the other for christs sake instead of being "part-time". He is still competitive in the ring though, so theres no reason why he can't fight but he would see a couple more wins if he devoted himself.

DLH vs Mayweather 2 is a disgrace to Boxing. Mayweather shouldnt take this fight, he has many other options.
